He is such a potent goal threat and I've been harping on for a while now that he deserves more games. He's not just a super sub either. We need to use him more imo esp with Danny and RvP not currently scoring too many.
Who would have thought we would be saying that after the first half of the season :(

So, Welbeck-Chicharito partnership for the next game?

Still puzled how Barca has not come for him. He could be what Villa never was for them. Wish he plays more. Such a clever player.

As much as I like him, he's not comparable to one of the best strikers in the world. Amd Barcelona are probably the team that he'd most struggle to fit in at, because they play an extremely technical game.

eh? Messi is the striker there. Plays every game. They have no place for Hernandez.

Hernandez won't be going anywhere this summer imo. He's going to place as much or even lesser games at Madrid, Milan, Barcelona and Munich. And we're one of the few teams that still play with 2 strikers every match so if there's any of the top clubs where he's going to get chances, it's at United.

They were talking it up on Football Weekly, Barry Glendenning said it was one of the best goals he's ever seen, and the more you watch it the more you can appreciate the sentiment. Supplants RVP at West Ham as our goal of the season I reckon.

I disagree, yes it's a well-taken goal but look at Cech for Christ's sake! By the time the ball crosses the goal line, he has yet to track back to the first post, he literally left an open goal.

We have so much quality in attacking positions. Maybe we should just adopt a 4-0-6 formation.

Welbeck-Kagawa-Rooney-RvP-Hernandez-Zaha

what's the use of all these zero midfield formations.

it's all cock, no bollocks.

sure you can wave around a foot long phallus, but if you don't have the bollocks to supply gobs of baby batter, you aren't leaving your mark at the end are you?

Saw some replays of his header today from different angles and it looks as though he tries heading the ball back across to Kagawa.

That is what I was gonna attempt in that situation, if not for Cech's abysmal positioning, a header at goal would be the wrong choice. Had he headed the ball over the bar I bet some of us would begrudge his decision.

I feel the angle in that gif doesn't give the goal due justice. From where I was watching, it was pure gold.

I'm completely biased when it comes to Chicharito, as my mom and dad grew up in Guadalajara, but I think I can objectively state that he is an outstanding striker. No argument from anyone here, I trust.

But where I may draw objections, and perhaps inquiries into my mental state, is my belief that if Chicharito could develop a shot from just outside the box he would be more dangerous than RvP. No Ronaldo rockets, but the kind of shots Messi can hit from 20-22 yards out. Do that, little pea, and suddenly you're footballer who Fergie would have a hard time leaving on the bench.

Surely it's his general link-up play that needs polishing if he's to push the others for a regular starting berth?

He's exceptional at what he does, but his inclusion does sacrifice a degree of ball retention and attacking build-up compared to any of the other three.

Not going to happen. By far my favourite United player, top quality goal scorer, model professional, and by all accounts, bloody nice bloke. Javier Hernandez

They can have him if we get Falcao in return tbh.

That's the problem though, he's supposed to be his replacement.

If they sell falcao to Chelsea\city for 40+ million, and they offer us £20m, would we decline? I think we would sell personally. Not that I would want him gone but I could just see it happening

It's a fair amount of money but no, we won't sell him, not in the nearest future anyway. He's every manager's dream and he's only going to develop. Doesn't moan about being benched, isn't the highest of earners and performs virtually every time he's asked to.

To be fair to Chicharito, his general link-up play has improved by leaps and bounds this season and so has his ball retention skills. Its Rooney who seems most likely to lose us possession nowadays.

Spot on. I like what I'm seeing from him now, the passing is improving, he shields the ball better and doesn't look clumsy in tight spaces anymore.

And his finishing...He really is razor sharp.

I don't think that Hernandez is worth £20m in todays market, he's worth even more IMO. Players like him aren't easy to find.

I was disappointed he didn't come on at some point today.

He'll surely start one of the next 2 games.

Should have played today imo, but what do I know.
