Typical knee-jerk defensiveness the moment anyone dares criticise certain players in our squad. What, exactly, did Red Norse say that means he should be called a spastic or a moron? Ffs.

hmmm, let's see....

Because Welbeck at 20 is already a better all rounded player ? Just an idea.

Is he really? Danny still has plenty of games and will continue to have plenty of games in which his first touch deserts him and he offers zero threat. A few decent showings at the start of the season and suddenly he's ALREADY a better all round player? Madness, had he said "because Welbeck obviously has the potential to be a better all round player" then that'd be fine, but he didn't.

but the praise he gets around here is ridiculous

Is it ridiculous really? He's highly rated around here after having a sensational first season coming in as a total unknown from the Mexican league, outsting the Premier League's top scorer in the process.

But now we come to the main point of your original question, "What, exactly, did Red Norse say that means he should be called a spastic or a moron"

Well, here goes....

His touch is even worse than Solskjaer's ffs.

For a start, Ole's first touch was SUPERB, and in fact, I'll finish there because this comment so retarded it's making my brain hurt.

I'm still furious with Rooney for trying that overhead kick against City. Could have really done some damage.

Nicely done but, he needs cut that shit out - last year Nani screwed himself out of the WC because he hurt himself attempting an overhead kick, don't need you him doing the same

Yes I know, it's instinct and that's what make him, him - such instinctual goalscorer but, still.
Where's the white text?

I've nothing against Chico, quite the contrary, but the praise he gets around here is ridiculous, he's good but he's not even close to the finished article. His touch is even worse than Solskjaer's ffs.

Hello, I would like to bring up one vital point that you appear to have omitted in this post.

Whilst I appreciate your sentiments, though necessarily do not agree with them, the point you have omitted, which is quite pertinent to the discussion in hand will provide us with a far greater depth of understanding about your mindset and appreciation of the argument.

The point you seem to have forgotten is that you are talking utter bollocks.

United have denied a deal as been done.So still on course for Madrid then.

Well they certainly haven't confirmed it yet, so maybe that's what he means

okay saw this from BBC: Manchester United deny claims Javier Hernandez has signed a new five-year contract. The Mexican striker's agent has been quoted as saying the deal was done. But United say that is incorrect and no new deal is imminent.

Link?

Either the agent is hankering for a new deal.Or there as been a loss in translation. What ever Hernandez will be here for the long term.

I concede that I overstated my point a fair bit, it wasn't my intention to say Hernandez first touch is rubbish.

Pointing out a perceived weakness on players who perform at such a high level is always relative of course, but if you compare Hernandez with the other senior strikers in the squad IMO he has a similar first touch to Owen or even Solskjaer in his early days at Utd. Btw, I'm solely thinking of the ability to kill the ball from a pass here which I should have said before.

Solskjaer improved his skills quite a lot while at Utd which I'm hoping Hernandez will do too as I think it's quite necessary to be able to hold up the ball and to be efficient in his link-up play.

As for Welbeck I firmly believe he's a better all rounder, his passing, dribbling ability and strength are all areas where he has the edge over Hernandez. Having said that Hernandez goal scoring abilities (movement and finishing) are obviously world class or thereabouts and players with those innate abilities are very rare indeed.

Lastly, it was obviously daft to fling out my comments without backing it up with any reasoning. Bollocks or not, it's just my opinion.

Where's the white text?

My last sentence was my white text. I wasn't completely serious but, unnecessary injuries during training prior to an Intl - a friendly nonetheless would leave a poor taste in everyone's mouth.

I'm sure they've agreed the deal but the club aren't ready to announce it yet. IIRC, Rio revealed Evra had agreed a new deal but SAF denied that was the case only for the club to confirm the 'rumour' a few days later.

From the economic point of view it doesn't really make sense. He was initially paid "poorly", and then after a fabulous season he got a new good deal he deserved. What has changed since then that he needs a new one so soon?

From the business prospective the club should wait for at least another year and keep him on smaller wages.

I'm pretty certain he's still on his first contract with us?

On ESPN Sportscenter in the US it's reporting that Chicharito signed a new deal. I'm not sure why they'd be reporting that if it's not true.

He's still on his first contract. Late last season there was talk about redoing that first deal but, that did not happen. This new deal if it has happened would be the deal that enhanced the first one he got based on his performance, his worth to the team and the fact that it gives us a chance to secure a player who may be targeted by other clubs.

I thought his agent was rubbish as his agent knew nothing about him signing for us till he saw it on the news?

Hernandez also rubbished his claims when his agent says he wanted to leave for Madrid last season.

Fantastic player, gets goals and they are usually important goals. If they hadn't agreed a contract before, I'm sure they will now.

Fergie sign him up; Fergie, Fergie sign him up!
