His off the ball movement is as good as it gets and he's a born goal scorer, sure his play on the ball can improve but he's had enough good moments to suggest to me that it will. His biggest asset though is his mentality, he's a winner so the move to the big stage has not phased him.

Needs to stop straying needlessly offside so much, although sometimes that is partly due to the delay in getting the ball to him from midfield. Him and Valencia might prove to be an interesting combination towards the end of the season.

I got it back in August

Nice!

I personally haven't got it because all the spastics and the new fans have bought it. It's almost a cliché of the typicall guy who sees a mexican on a foreign country and is suddenly a huge patriot. Those kinds of fans who say "I support United and I say we should change the manager because he didn't play Chicharito and chose hat-trick scorer Berbatov"...

But everyday I love him more and more :nervous:

I find myself saying this every time he plays, but what a find this lad was. He's one of the best poachers in European football, plucked out of nowhere but taking England and Europe by storm. Brilliant player.

SAF said that for the opening goal he had 3 different moves leading to the goal, dragging the defenders all over. Whoever the commentators were for Fox Soccer were just going on and on about his movement off the ball that we couldn't see on the screen.

Ref was a joke giving him a card for nothing.

There was a ball that Rooney put him clean through and to me he was level. He does stray (offside) a lot but, only takes that one time with him.

Looked a bit tired towards the end but, boy did he put in a shift.

20 shots in the League and Europe this year, 13 goals.

Clinical.

I hope this puts to rest the notion that he should be only be brought on as a substitute, as an "impact player" when opposing defenders are tiring. His movement puts pressure on them right from the start. Maybe he needs to moderate his running a bit just to keep up his game for the full 90mins, but he's still young and can easily either tweak his game or improve his fitness further.

Great to see him pairing well with Rooney too.

Temps version was shit though. Sounded like they though waaa was some kind of new soul shout.

I think this little character is going to be the signing you all hoped for, and the main reason Fergie hasn't splashed around lots of money.

Watch him tear defences apart next season.

One to watch.

Just look at how he did in the WC. Mexico looked a far better attacking side with him on the pitch. His finishes looked so mature for his age, and he was clocked as the quickest player in the tournament.

We know he is decent in the air too, but as said his composure and play in the World Cup is whats made me think this is so much more different than Diouf, Tosic, Manucho et all.

This guy will do the business and will fit in right away with a goal in the Charity Shield.

:)

Deadly combination of pace, poacher instinct and finishing ability. I can see him scoring over 40 goals in one of the next seasons.

That booking really pissed me off, Heinze threw himself down like he'd been kicked in the face the cheating twat, and then went and took Evra out himself about 30 seconds later and got nothing.

What I love about Hernandez (apart from obviously his goals) is his fantastic enthusiasm. He looks like he is loving every minute of his life at United and wants to grasp every oppourtunity he is given. His attitude doesn't change if he starts, plays as a late sub or even if he doesn't play - just look at some of his on the bench goal celebrations. To get such a great player who will only improve and improve quickly imo AND to get such a down to earth kid who has such a great personality makes him a fabulous signing. The similarities between him and Ole on and off the pitch are amazing.

I just love everything about him - his movement, his attitude, his goalscoring instincts.

You can just tell he's loving being here, and he has shown that it doesn't matter whether he starts or comes on as a sub, he'll score goals either way. He runs his socks off, he frightens defenders with his movement and pace.

He'll get 20+ goals this season.

He's got 16 goals already, not much of a prediction that ;)
