What a brilliant first season in England for a young footballer.

8 goals in the league, and I think 10 for the season. Great return given the opportunities.

Whats more impressive is that most of those would have been crucial goals rather than when were 2 or 3 up.

Atleast half of those were crucial goals too. I think a return of 20 goals in all competitions is a realistic target given his likely game time.

We signed him the week after going out of the CL to Bayern so I dont find it surprising that most were negative about the signing. I can remember being quite happy thinking that he was going to be the kind of player Sir Alex would have wanted to bring off the bench when we were down to 10 men instead of having Nani leading the line. Of course it was guess work having never seen him play

I think that's a tad too high. Most strikers don't get there as first choice starters. Anything around 15 for me will do. In fact he's already done a great deal. I never thought he'd make such an immediate impact.

Set the bar high is my motto. If he gets starts and we get a run in the Champions League and FA Cup then scoring 10 more between now and May? Totally doable in my book.

He was at OT the night we went out to Bayern, the night we announced his signing. Am sure you can find the quotes of where he talks about what an amazing atmosphere it was.

Speaking of Bayern game, I hate it when people keep saying that was the last time we lost the game. We won 3-2 but, went out on aggregate ffs.

I love this kid, he's a fecking live wire.

His movement and run-timing are fecking unbelievable. When he came on today he stretched and unsettled their back four and started our comeback.

He's got real quality, he could turn into something VERY special I feel.

Well, its about time we drop the cnut in favour of Hernandez. I mean, the cnut had been absolutely useless in every aspect this season, and the exact opposite can be said about Hernandez. If Fergie is to show that team selections are based on merits, i say drop the cnut till he performs as well as his wages justifies.

You are talking about Rooney?

So is he better off back on a sub or does he put in the same performance when he starts? I think he is our new super super sub. He uses his speed when the defenders are tired and easily gets around them with his delightful runs.

Apart from scoring, Rooney have done well in most of his last few games I thought. And whenever Hernandez starts, he didn't really perform.

I'm just hoping to see Scholes and Hernandez on the same pitch more often. Hernandez makes several good runs, but we've often not had anyone who's been able to pick him out (except Giggs today).

8 goals in 349 sub minutes - that's a goal every 43.6 minutes off bench. Add to that 4 goals from when he's started, and the fact that he's got 4 winners, 3 openers, and 1 equaliser, and it's indisputable - he is a game-changer.

You could see from Holloway's words on him that Javier is a little bit brilliant.

Wrong math in there somewhere. He has only scored 10 this season (and counting!!!), so can't be 8 from subs, 4 from starting line-up.

Of course you did. We all got that feeling. Having never seen him play.

I don't think he is ready to be a regular starter yet but this is his debut season and he seems to be relishing whatever role or involvement he gets. He is still a work in progress but boy does he give you tons of hopes.
I especially love the fact that he looks genuinely chuffed just to be turning out for us.

I thought this being his 1st season, he'd mainly play in the CC and FA Cups, and maybe get some run outs in blowouts, remembering we had Owen and to a lesser extent Kiko. I recall people saying 10-15 goals this season, and thinking I'll be over the moon if Dimitar fecking Berbatov gets 20 for the season, how can we expect this kid to get 15?

hehehehehe......Always glad to be wrong when it comes to United.

What a great addition to our team!

Is there a fan who doesn't love Chicharito?

Speaking of Bayern game, I hate it when people keep saying that was the last time we lost the game...

Me too...Especially since we lost 4-0 to West Ham this season.

I knew Hernandez was quality before I'd even heard of him

feckos.

It was obvious he'd have a good impact last night. Blackpool were tiring, and he was the perfect "Plan B" to come on and have an impact. Was actually unlucky to only get the one goal, but a fantastic game-changing sub appearance.

Includes his two goals in pre-season off the bench against the MLS All-Stars and the Airtricity League XI. His goals-per-minute off the bench is only slightly better when you include them though, so it doesn't particularly matter.

I thought that he did very well understood that we need to get in behind there defenders and run at them as they were tired. However to achieve that we need to have excellent crosses to latch onto which was provided by giggs and scholes.

I love this kid.

He first touches for both the missed first chance and then the goal were just magnificent. Almost Berbatov-esque. He's just the ultimate super sub at times, the tired legs of Blackpool did not have a clue how to cope with the kid.

And holy shit, the SPEED of him, I heard he was the fastest player at the WC but I hadn't seen it until last night. The run up the pitch for that ball Berbatov eventually tried to feed to Giggs was absolutely blistering.

£7m, signing of the season for sure. Our scouting system is brilliant. Makes me think the likes of Obertan, Bebe, Cleverly, Macheda must surely all come good too!

It's not impossible, but I'd be happy with the 15 mark at this moment. Hopefully he'll bag a few more at the weekend in the FA Cup.

I love the lad.

He has played 25 games so far for us and has scored 10 goals which is not bad at all for a rookie season at United and in the Premier League. The 15 goal mark should be no problem for him. Touching the 20 goal barrier might be a challenge for the lad but anywhere 15-20 and I ll be delighted.

Could have had four last night - what an impact he had last nights and has had in, especially, our away games this year.

The control for his miss, before he actually scored, was as good as the touch before the equaliser. Great character and a top, top player to have.

Top player, I really can't praise him enough for his contribution so far this season, seems like a great lad aswell by the looks of it, doesn't strop or moan but gets on with it.

I love the fact that he kisses the United badge on his shirt a lot now when he scores. It shows his passion for the club.

feck that, I hate when players do it. Fabregas and Rooney have both done it plenty of times, and then made qualms about how they want to leave the club. Pisses me off.
