I agree.

He needs to work on his strength, too. These things will come with time.

I still think people should not get too carried away with praise.

Trust you to try and dampen things. Did you not think he showed too much arrogance with his finish? Has he earned the right to show that kind of arrogance while finishing?

It's easy to see really why people get carried away by Hernandez.

I do not think he is arrogant, no. I like attitude.

But on the last page, there were people suggesting one of Rooney or Berbatov should be dropped for Hernandez. That is over the top praise. Rooney and Berbatov are far superior footballers. Could Hernandez produce a performance like Berbatov and Rooney did against Blackburn? I think the answer is obvious.

SAF just said Chicharito's form gives him a selection problem.

For a man who has produced winners away to Valencia and WBA and Stoke, yes why not?

He rarely starts games and yet has 6 goals more than Rooney and just 6 lesser than Berba. And when he does start games it's not always in a full strength lineup.

Looks like going down as one of Fergie's best ever buys in the striking department (should he carry on the way he is)

Very promising talent

I must say, my reservation of him early on was his ability to (a) handle the rough and tumble (and yet his best performances have come against Stoke of all teams) and (b) his effectiveness in the build up (could still be improved, but has already come on leaps and bounds since he joined).

What a great third option.

Decent goal :D I think the variety of goals and the fact he's scored instinctive goals and goals like against wolves (he scored a goal similar earlier in his career) where he manipulated the ball in the box to improve the angle - top drawer. When he came to us, it was about his pace but his imagination and agility always make him a threat

Fantastic little player, I think he'll have a great career here at united, though he should stay out of the build up play for a while.

Thank god he isn't taking your advice, if he did that tonight it'd have been 1-1.

So much negativity in the caf these days, it's disgusting.

He has that knack of scoring goals that cannot be taught, we have a gem.

And yet Berbatov created feck all last night from build up play ?

Why not mention the pass that set Giggzy loose, Nani's assist or some other build-up play where he actually got fouls ?

That was one of the best games in a red shirt by young chicha, yet there is still some negativeness in this ?

Don't bother redthai, I've noticed tonight that some people must find fault with everything, only perfection is good enough. It's a tough job being a United player.

I feel this post has promise but is not good enough in the final 3rd, Too much space at the end.

My thought's exactly.

Stay out of the build up play for a while?! :wenger:

So just not make himself available or get involved in the 'build up play? You joking?

Brilliant move by him to get the space and time to pass to Nani for the winner. The Stoke defenders were literally backing off when he shaped up to shoot.

I LOVE Hernandez. He plays with so much flair and enthusiasm. Wayne who? well not really....... but he was great today.

Hernandez is a bit of a throw back striker. More of a predator around net than anything else. I don't see why people would want him to be something different.

Who wants him to be different? He is fine the way he is. He is a different sort of player from what we have and that is why he is coming in so handy. Defenders find it hard to read him because he keeps moving all the time and he has the speed to lose them and get to the ball in time.

The runs he makes inside the box are very good. The timing of them is spot on.Just like he showed when he scored and when he shot it well over the ball from Rafael's cut back.
He has great instincts and it will only get better with the understanding he's developing with his teammates
