I think whats even more impressive than his off the ball speed in that move, is the fact that just as he reaches the speed of sound, he has the ball control and quality to throw the dummy he does. Its not just a fake shot, but a quick flick to push the ball, whilst still under complete control, onto his left side so he can finish with that foot. Now to do that without messing up, when he's moving at such a speed shows a real fluid ability to transition from high speed to delicate touch. Something players like Ronaldo rely on.

Agree, I'd say most players in that situation would have taken the shot, well Chicha did well to fool the defender and calmly took the shot on his left foot...

Good acceleration after being tackled,

Moved to a great position which credit to Gibson picked him out,

Calmly fooled the defender... And took a finish...

I'd say that was a good goal.

Looks life my Chicha scarf is working... Hehe'

In fact it reminds me of the goal Nani laid on for Rooney last season, was it against Arsenal? On the break away. Gibson played the ball in nicely like Nani did and unlike Rooney who took it early, Hernandez fooled the defender and tucked it past the keeper.

Yeah, the pace Hernandez showed reminded me of that goal.

I still can't bring myself to refer to him as anything other than Hernandez.

Just managed to watch the 10 min or so he was on in the CC game. Really first time I've seen him receive the ball, control and distribute it really well. The pass for Obertan, there was a nice play where he got it to Macheda but, he had strayed offside and then for the goal, he was midfield laid the ball off, got bowled over and instead of complaining, he legged it forward.

I love the form Nani is in but, imagine if that was Nani at midfield, he would have been lying down complaining. So far Chicha seems to want to just get on with things.

There was even a shove from Stephen Hunt when a ball went out for a throw at the corner - uncalled for but, Chicha just went on on to look to shake his hand. Nice attitude.

.....

You are doing harm to Nani's reputation. He will not lie down and complain. He will roll on the floor, clutch his face, scream as if he has been shot or has a broken bone or spleen removed or something like that.

That has always been the biggest flaw about Nani for me. Even last year, at a time when everyone was lambasting him about losing the ball too often and making stupid decisions, I thought he was pretty good, except for that strange attachment to the ground.

Interesting, from the bbc live page : 1306:
It's not just Benoit Assou-Ekotto who has been sticking the boot into Wayne Rooney this week, either. As well as being stalked by photographers on holiday in Dubai, and then learning that his ankle injury could yet be worse than first thought, turns out Rooney is no longer the top shirt-seller at Manchester United for the first time since he joined in 2004. His successor? Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, whose sales have soared 294%. Old Trafford's new hero.

Compared to what?

meh you think the bitch would make the effort to get the latest jersey, fecking lazy cow

ere lads whats with this bizarre praying thing he does before kick off?

i like it!

Cause we can always try the Rooney - Chicha partnership which has potential on paper.

Berbatov is better at picking out passes, so not too sure about that. On the other hand Rooney at his best is obviously a far better player, all depends on what Rooney comes back. Hopefully it's we don't get Emile Rooney again.

Re-watch how Rooney picked out Defoe for England, its not that we see Berbs assist every game and he only has 2 assists to his name.

Rooney can definitely pick out a pass which why I said that it has potential on paper... Nevertheless, the Berbs-Chicha has looked much better than Rooney-Berbs for me. Its fustrating to see both players go for the same ball, both dropping deep at times with no one looking to run at the spaces between the defenders.

why do people pray before a match? God's a red or a blue? If anything, he wears black and is pretty neutral.

Pray they have a good game, thankful they are healthy to play, they dont get an injury etc.

I find Hernandez praying before a game and point towards heaven refreshing instead of the usual stupid dances and girating that goes on.

Hernandez knows there is a higher authority he must pay due respect to- it has a red nose and a vile temper if crossed but can be also be as soft as velvet!

uh oh the spanish media are already setting up a move...
