Give him the shirt n°7

exactly.

It was a travesty to give that shirt to Owen. Nothing against Owen, but that shirt shouldn't go to a player that's basically just passing through. Give it to Hernandez. He'll do it justice.

Could be the best thing that happens to Rooney. Probably the first time in his United career that his place on the teamsheet is not automatic. The fact he'll have to start fighting for his place again might bring some form out of him.

Well yes, there are two strikers who have started great this season - Berbatov and Chicharito. Both look a good partnership together, and both have gotten 7 and 6 goals respectively. Neither of them deserve to be dropped just so Rooney can waltz his way back into the first team. It would be so unfair.

No problem...

Javier Hernandez will not score in every game.

It just feels like he will.

Doesn't seem like anyone's mentioned it but he played a lovely ball to Obertan too, we all knew he was an excellent finisher but his all-round game is very promising too. He almost acted as a playmaker in the minutes before the goal.

Think it is fair to say that the next few months of training with Owen will teach Hernandez a few tricks and then Owen will leave in the Summer. With Hernandez here, I really can't see the point in Owen anymore.

The number will be freed up then.

Don't worry, I intend to milk it...

If only we had Chicharito in those games vs Chelsea and Blackburn at the back end of last season :(

I think that's sort of why Fergie bought him and why the argument that the squad is weaker this season doesn't hold up.

Hernandez alone could make all the difference between a point and three and between no points and a point.

Is he left or right footed? Im tempted to say left with his goal tonight and against Valencia but that inch perfect through ball to Obertan was done with his right

He's settled into English football very quickly I've been impressed. Can't help but feel he's going to follow in Solskjaer's footsteps.

We would be absolutely battered with that team. Just scholes in midfield?!

Anyway we lack a central midfield even when Scholes and Fletcher are playing.

What an amazing start to the season, his goal today was superb, ran into the box like an arrow and the way he dodged the defender was magnificent.

How many goals/games in official matches he's with?

He's now scored in the CS, League Cup, Premier League, UCL. Only FA Cup to go. And the world club cup next year when we win the UCL this year.

"Nani....Into Berbatov....and Hernandez has won it"

and the World Cup.

He was clocked as the fastest player in last years world cup, 19.98 mph it says on the Man United web site.

Coupled with finishing like Olly, we are in for a treat.

Very good and useful player. We've missed someone like him ever since Solskjaer left.
