He looks more like Denis Law every time I see him. Has the knack of being in the right place at the right time and being able to execute clinically. Moves like Law too.

Class Interview after

"We are very happy with the result. We are very delighted. [And on his headed opening goal: "The ball was behind me and I thank God it went in. But there are no heroes - just the effort by the team."

All the signs point to a wonderful buy. Hope he remains as humble as he seems at the moment, very refreshing attitude.

Such an exciting player. Thought he was a threat all game. Not even sure he played that great.

Love how he celebrates every goal. He must have a huge goal bonus in the contract because it looks like he has won the lottery.

We love Chicharito.
We do
Oh Chichoo we love you.

I mean
errr,
Seems like a good buy, a bright prospect, all that stuff.

He's just got that knack of scoring that you cannot teach. The header was fantastic.

I thought he was simply amazing today, when he came i questioned his link up and physical side of the game but everything was there today and by far our best player!

Already got 5 goals this season, 4 more than that other fellow who thinks our squad lacks ambition

That stretched effort that went just wide was so well taken. As was the one shortly after where he was flagged offside as it floated over his head and he volleyed it to the keeper, his technique for both was spot on.

The way he rode challenges and got right back up after being smacked to the ground time and time again was telling. He can most certainly play against the roughest of defenses, something I think everyone was wondering about.

Clinical stuff today.

He's adapted very well and looks like he may be a bargain for us. With the pace, movement and eagerness he showed today he will always be a goal threat. We just need to make sure the supply is good.

I've got a good feeling with him, too.

Dunno about this 15 goals next year stuff, though. You have to play a lot to score a lot.

He'll still be Rooney's backup.

I said this in July, but I take it back.

It is October, and he's on 5. 15 is still very ambitious, but not wildly impossible depending on how far we go in the domestic cups and who we play.

Two brilliant goals from Chicharito today, great game from him. He's just a constant threat and he could have had a hat-trick. He's definitely one of the bargains of the season so far. As soon as I found out his squad number, I got his name and number on my shirt, and the guy in the shop questioned why I was getting it, basically saying he'd do nothing this season.

Today is why

I'd be pissed if Fergie just puts Wayne back in as soon he comes back. This lad deserves to start.

I reckon he might become a Solskjaer type figure though. Should start, but in a tactical sense I can see him being dropped a lot despite good performances.

Very ambitious? I'm sure he'll get 15 injury permitting. He's going to get quite a few games over the next few weeks with Rooney injured and even after that he'll get games. 20 is quite gettable imo.

His link up play and passing is also improving. Before, he was very wasteful and lost the ball plenty of times. And I think he has done much better than we could have expected in such a short time

The biggest shirt kisser of them all was Rooney. Shows it carries no meaning. I'd rather they didn't do it.

He only really did it when we would play Everton... Something tells me if he continues to develop the way he is he will thank United not hand in a transfer request (i know Rooney didnt but you get the idea)

Wow, that's a compliment! Do you really believe this? I'm presuming you've seen enough of Denis Law, because I sure haven't.

Promising talent, was nice reading the BBC ticker following our game.. alot of positive things being said about him. Already seems to have established a cult following.

15-20 goals this season. I'll put my pet goldfish on that.

27th July 2010

Most of my case for this belief was made in a post I must have done whilst in the newbies.

Basically, I expressed concern on my own site that he might be "one for the future" when we signed him and got absolutely blasted by some fans from his old club Chivas who said I was wrong, he is very much one for the "here and now".

The more you see of him, the more you understand where they were coming from.

I suspect many of us judged him by the fee and not on his merits which is perhaps fair enough because most of us wouldn't have even heard of him, let alone see him actually play.

This does appear to be what Fergie was talking about with his "value for money" line. £7m for a striker seems ridiculously low these days but, had we paid £20m for him, would there be many of us saying he wasn't looking to be worth it already?

The one thing we didn't know is if he could hack it in the tough Premier League but passing the test against a team like Stoke has surely put that kind of worry to bed now.

He looks like a pretty boy which I think is also quite deceiving. This lad is Mexican. Have you ever met a soft-arsed Mexican? No, me neither. I think Hernandez has fighting spirit and he'll take his knocks and just keep getting back up and go again.

It's probably a bit too early to go completely spastic over him but I think he would have made the difference last season if we'd had him then and I'm convinced he'll make the difference this season and I'm going to up the ante - I'll put my pet hamster on that!

hes played in that mexican league where theres plenty of kicking going on,the physical side of his game is not a worry for me,hes a hard little fecker as mancred devil says, don"t let his appearence fool you..........hope he gets a good run in the side, nice to have someone who plays on the shoulder of the last defender, always a threat them type of players.....

Rioferdy5: great result there twitfam, hard place 2go is stoke. Great banter with the stoke fans 2day, intense! Our fans were LOUD too! #chicharito !

It was better than today still in some of his pre-season matches. Its been really hit and miss so far in terms of one or two weeks its been a bit under par and a bit sloppy and at other times he's getting the weight right and making sensible passes for the buildup play. But he did show in pre-season that when he's playing well, his passing and buildup play is no less than good.
