Poor for the 3rd goal too. By no means his "fault" but sucked into midfield and didn't win the ball, which opened up the space behind.
The 3 best teams in the league all have more than us despite playing with back 4s.
We might not need 4 out and out CBs for this, so Shaw could count as one. Mazraoui arguably too. Maybe Dalot could fill in there too. But we need at least 1 addition there next summer and every time Martínez plays LCB next to De Ligt, Evans, or Maguire, we will be vulnerable to these quick breaks.

I don't watch a lot of football outside of United these days, but I've never seen him actually play well. Not saying he's always been bad (though he was against us last season too) but I've never seen anything more that a pretty ordinary centre back.

Every time I have watched him he seemed like a younger version of bad Maguire. Seen nothing to change my mind.

You can see pretty clearly in the from-behind clip that he'd be too late, in my opinion. At least it very much looks that way.

Please stop... he has shown nothing to be worth more than 20m. Apart from his speed he has no strong points, clumsy, bad with the ball and to top that with making stupid mistakes in dangerous positrons. 60 m players are star defenders.

He’s clumsy, leaden footed, awkward, has the turning circle of a tanker, isn’t very good on the ball and always has a mistake in him.
He’s a bad imitation of Maguire. Can run faster in a straight line but is worse in every other regard.

We were interested because he was young, English and did well last season. He was a good option to build for the future and it seemed like we were a lot less likely to be able to attract the likes of Yoro instead of clubs like Madrid. However we made some magic happen there

Branthwaite is another in a long line of £30m players vastly overrated. I think he's good as an actual defender but he shits the bed in possession. Amad saw it today, stripped him. Others will figure that out quickly
He's had a poor start to the season but he's barely been 100% fit yet. Been stop start, our manager is complete guff and club have checked out. Better to reassess when he's back to full fitness and we change manager.
