January Transfer Window

Moyes used to love a good deadline day at Everton, that's what I'm clinging to today.

Switched on SSN about five minutes ago, already my heart rate is at dangerous levels

"NOW WE GO TO OUR-REPORTER AT SOUTHAMPTON. WHAT'S HAPPENING?"

-NOTHING HAPPENING HERE BUT OMFG ITS SO EXCITING BACK TO YOU!!"

I'll accept buying Townsend if, and only if, it becomes apparent that Moyes has suddenly been given an unlimited warchest and we are also buying two of Vidal, Kroos, Gunogan, Pogba...

We are not signing Andros Townsend, surely? I think I'd quit football if we finally replaced Valencia and it was with him.

The pisser is today we'll know at lunch whether we'll be signing anyone. I am a bit surprised we've brought the press conference forward from it's normal time which kind of suggests we may be freeing up the time for something else.

Tenous and flimsy source as i can't verify it, but someone i trust (as much as you fecking can on a forum) - reckons Coentrao is likely to be sorted tomorrow, and we are bidding for up to two midfielders tomorrow but prepared to be knocked back.

If the club think they are going to be knocked back, they should probably bid a few more quid.

Should we be sending him to that club? I imagine they have plenty of strikers already.
Their main striker, Charlie Austin, out for the rest of the season - so there is definitely a space for him.

The Townsend story is all over the media... Please, please, please...

...don't be true!

On his early season form, I'd play him over Valencia! It'd be just like us to replace somebody that won't ever cut inside with his left foot with somebody that does nothing but cut inside with his left foot!

Please not Townsend. Just because Valencia never shoots it doesn't mean we have to go and buy someone who shoots (off target) every time he gets the ball.

I keep thinking that it'd be fun if we signed someone (not Townsend) today... but then I think back to the end of August and realise, for my own sanity, it's probably best we don't.

Supposedly they're signing Kevin Doyle and some Brazilian striker too so not sure if I'd want Will going there actually.

I think they're after Michael, not Will.

Harry Redknapp has admitted to being in the market for loan deals on deadline day, and we are hearing that Queens Park Rangers are exploring the possibility of taking Michael Keane, who recently took in a spell at Derby, from Manchester United.
