Could someone who's seen him play answer this for me; would you be able to play him and Pogba in the same side?

The post you quoted didn't say "Jose doesn't make any mistakes", it said "he gets player purchases more right than wrong".
He is definitely leaving Madrid, seemed emotional getting subbed and all the applauding. Only question left is "to where?".
He's been playing on the wing for a large part of his career too.
He's a very good player and frankly we need more options in attack. He wouldn't be my first option but I wouldn't say no to him.
With Rooney and Zlatan going and Depay having left in January, we have 3 slots to fill.
Griezmann, James and a striker would be great.

I know but that's why James does not fit us, and that's.the main reason people don't want him here, but his attitude ,work rate commitment is also a Big question. Of course there fore Madrid is also one of the factor as he is a bait for de gea as well. We must buy what we need, not what we want.

I really do think we need an out and out direct winger. Someone in the Douglas Costa mould.
I don't think Woodward is going to enforce signings upon Mourinho that he didn't ask for. Since Mourinho's arrived, our transfer policy appears to have gotten rid of that scatter-gun approach and instead developed a framework of profiling our needs and profiling players who fit those positions. In other words, Woodward isn't going to just spring James on Mourinho, he'll seek his advice first. If we want to "flex our financial muscle" then surely getting a Griezmann or Mbappe (both of whom would inevitably cost more - and are arguably more coveted) will do a better job of that? Plus we'd be actually signing a player who will have a putative positive impact on the squad, as opposed to the divide over Rodriguez.
Since Mourinho has come I've relaxed my stresses with regard to transfers. For me he is the best manager on the planet with an excellent track record when it comes to transfers, and I put much of that down to his forensic attention to detail when identifying targets. Case in point - Eric Bailly. We already have Mata, and Mkhi for the no.10 role, but if we get the best of James then he could potentially be better than Mata, and facilitate Mkhi on the wing. On the other hand he is quite capable on the wing himself, with his biggest flaw being the lack of pace.
For me the position remains clear; if he's a target then fine get him. If on the other hand, and I suspect the reality, he is a luxury player- Well then in that case I would say we should get him if he is offered to us an attractive price that doesn't impinge upon our budget and/or plans for other targets.

For me a 10 in this team won't work. I believe Pogba is our best player who can get better. I don't think this will help get the best out of him.

Not effectively, he's so lazy out of posession that Pogba will be forced to play deep most of the time and we'll end up with him larding out on the wing when we play big games and use the 4-3-3.
Bayern could be interested. A midfield of Thiago, Vidal and James might work.

What I said was that he gets it right more often than not.
Most of us don't have the info he has so we may just have to trust that he knows what he's doing. This doesn't mean that getting James is automatically a good decision. It could be a very bad decision. Let's wait and see.

I think all this pessimism we have will make this deal looks great afterwards. Most failed deals for us was deals fans very optimistic about except Pogba I think. let's try something different then
We are the only team to buy someone for a record fee and not build a team around them.
For all his faults, and they were many, Di Maria hardly got a shot in the position that had gotten him into the World team of the year.

Decent. Not assertive but decent. He did all the basics well and created the chance for the second goal.
James is a great player and has a good chance of being our best player but I don't think they're complementary, at least not yet. It depends on Pogba's evolution and I expect him to be better next season having a summer's rest and getting a preseason but they're both not 90 minute players and rather depend on moments.
I take it those that think he's not good enough or whatever don't watch him turn out for Colombia much. That player, the one that plays for Colombia is more than good enough to have a great impact in the league. I like Mkhi's game but unfortunately we don't have the time and age isn't on his side. We can't afford to risk him having another season like the one he has had. If we give James the responsibility and trust that he'll lead us to success, he'll do just that imo.

Yes, vastly different players. He's an attacker while Pogba is a midfielder.
We have frequently played Pogba in a midfield two this season, so I really don't think that's an issue.

I don't see any reason why someone as creative as James Rodriguez couldn't be one of them. Play him centrally and let him create while bringing in Griezmann for a free role on the right. Sorted.

That's a good call, James is a perfect fit with Wenger who will baby him like he does Oziul.
