What is his actual best position?
Most big money signings are a risk: Robinho, Torres, Shevchenko, Veron, Di Maria, Falcao, Rodriguez, Sterling, Carroll, Paulinho, Mangala, Ozil?? etc., etc., I could go on. Arrived with big reputations and so much promise yet failing to deliver.
We still can't be throwing money at players like Griezmann, Pogba etc. £70m for Pogba......no way! Why can't we looking for the Mahrez, Kante sensations of this world?? They've got to be out there.
Most players would see a move away from Real as a step down and rightly so. Very few, if any, top players have left Real on their own accord, it's always a case of the club deeming him surplus to requirement. This does impact the mentality for some(like it did for Di maria) while others go on to bigger heights(Robben, Sneijder). It's a matter of which category we think James would fall in.I'm always a bit sceptical about players coming from the likes of Madrid, especially the Latin type players, I reckon they see anything other than Madrid as a step down, they go from playing in a piece of piss league where it's nice and warm, winning 3 or 4-0 every other game then they come to England where the games are far more competitive and the weathers a bit shit and you don't get a break over Christmas. Di Maria was a classic example, ok there may of been other issues but he didn't want to leave and we spunked a load of money on him and he fecking bottled it, yeah he's doing great in league 1 now where it's a piece of piss league and they're winning 3 or 4-0 every other game.
I don't know too much about this fella but it strikes me as of one of those deals where we get a player who has no interest in coming to Manchester but it keeps Mendes happy and the players drawing 200k out of the club every week (don't get me wrong, I don't give a shit what the club pays players, it ain't my money) but it just seems a waste of time when we could be looking at up and coming talents who are hungry to progress and impress.
I could be wrong like, it's just the impression I get.
Why is Ozil in that list? He's playing very well for arsenalMost big money signings are a risk: Robinho, Torres, Shevchenko, Veron, Di Maria, Falcao, Rodriguez, Sterling, Carroll, Paulinho, Mangala, Ozil?? etc., etc., I could go on. This. He's got a wonderful left foot.Behind the striker. Free roaming AM with licence to shoot, shoot, shoot.
With Mou coming in, i dont see why he would want James. The number 10 will be reserved for Rooney.

That's why I question marked him Ozil?? He's been a bit hit and miss whilst he's been there and he hasn't really justified his £42.5m price tag? Sometimes he doesn't look bothered and other times he plays really well.
Do you think he's been worth the fee?

You can say, if Arsenal had a real world class striker he would have easily broken the assist record last season. That's what Arsenal brought him for, to assist. He needed a season or so to adjust but he has been good since last year.
On Jame Rodriguez - He actually needs to go for his own good. He wont replace any of the front 3 and Zidane loves Isco. He will be a bit part player for the rest of his time there if he doesn't leave. Problem is, Madrid paid around 80m euros for him, and you bet they will want most of that back if we ever inquire. He wasnt worth 80m then and sure as hell aint worth it now.

Tbf, that thread was doing the rounds since his Porto days, wasn't it? But yeah, you can imagine all the hysteria after his WC performancesI still remember "James Rodriguez the next superstar in world football?" thread when his world cup hype was at its peak after his superb volley in the knockout stage.

Can't see how he will fit in at PSG. At United he would have an obvious placeMarca has just published an article saying that James insists on leaving Madrid as he hasn´t enough minutes . They also note that a couple of weeks ago the club informed Jorge Mendes that the player was not for sale.

Diario Gol (a online newspaper not so famous) says that Madrid wants to sell , and even quote José Ángel Sánchez ( Madrid CEO ) saying to Jorge Mendes "get him out of here " . They name United and PSG as the possible destinations

Mundo Deportivo says more or less the same, the club wants to sell him but not at any price

Moreover, Zidane said today in an interview that Isco won´t move from Madrid.
I can see PSG offering what Madrid wants , the question now is whether he will want to go to the French league as well as Mourinho´s interest in the player

Doesn't Di Maria play the number 10 role for PSGWhy not ? He could become the face of the club after Ibra and he knows the league well. Would be a huge step down but stranger things have happened. Also he doesn't seem very ambitious.

A few months ago I thought he would stay, that he would improve his performances afterCan't see how he will fit in at PSG. At United he would have an obvious place
Do you think he will leave or is this just paper talk?

Totally agree with you with those points. However, we all know that Rooney is going to continue here, and I prefer James behind the striker than as a winger. He would be a very ideal fit to a counter attacking team.
-Knows when to track back
-Very good at changing speeds
-Can pick out runners well
-Very creative and direct
Not to mention he posts very efficient stats from across the front 3
I understand, but with limited options on the right this summer, we may have to consider it. Plus, regardless of whatever position he plays, he is never glued to one area of the pitch. He is pretty much roaming the pitch about disrupting the defense.Totally agree with you with those points. Sir Alex went to Mendes wedding so if his foot was in the door it was well before now.
