Every time we hype these youths up and push managers to play them only for it to inevitably back fire when they play poorly and start getting abuse.

It was crazy giving a teenager a debut in midfield under those circumstances. Almost like it was deliberate to give him fame time in situations where he was likely to struggle so as to justify further exclusion from the team. It's either Ole overrated him/underrated the team or simply threw him to the wolves. I though the right way would have been a few 10/15/20 minute cameos building up to a full debut in a more settled setting.Didn’t play well but it’s not easy to make your debut in these conditions.
Young players need the right guidance and be coached by good coaches. He's screwed, we're leaving the key years of his development in the hands of a novice. Same for AWB, Chong, Gomes and Greenwood. They'll be the same players in 3-4 years time, and a part of the 'problem'

Williams at least had Maguire, Jones, Rojo and Romero to play with who could guide him. Garner had McT and Mata in a hostile environment and hasn't tasted first team football this season whilst Williams had been getting some minutes.So it was good for Williams to start cause he had a good game. He was yes.Are you sure? I think the fact he’s actually giving them game time is the number one major factor in young player development now they’ve come through years of intensive coaching. These lads will be far better next year for the experience they get this year. As for being a novice, ole isn’t a novice he’s been a manager for several years and was even our under 21 coach wasn’t he?
