With add ons.... both parties are actively involved in conversations. Ed would want to deliver a marquee signing/ asset that's able to retain value and also would help market the club. He's 20, England international, fan-favorite already (aka Bruno) and would help repair the damaged image of himself and the Glazers. In 4 to 5 years, he could be worth 200m easy.... More importantly, he would give us a better chance of retaining our top 4 position while also challenging for the league. There's a lot riding on this deal. Hence, why we haven't walked out of the deal yet.
For a selling club they’re desperate to not be seen as a selling club for some reason. Despite knowing Sancho won’t play his best years with them they’re still acting like they’re Madrid refusing to sell to PSG

"negotiations in advanced stage" is not the same as a done deal (you already know that). Things can go wrong.
I don't get why so many people are desperate for Fabrizio to be wrong about stuff. Same thing happened last summer when Di Marzio said something about De Ligt and people took it as "deal done" but thats not what he said.

Right genuine question. Say if this doesn’t happen, who are the alternatives we can turn to? Bayern aren’t selling or loaning Coman, Dembele is too risky and injury prone even on a loan. Douglas Costa is half garbage. Do we stick with Dan James hoping he will eventually turn out good? We have to simply sign a proper right winger this year
Well, it is a small time club who think of themselves very highly for some reason, yet players use them as a stepping stone. Must be the inferiority complex which has made them this way.
If they really want to be treated as big club, they can stop being Bayern's bitch for a start, properly and regularly challenge Bayern domestically and then players themselves will want to stay longer.
That's because City have a fairly settled 11 that's able to challenge for top honors (without buying anyone new) and in Pep they have a coach that could perhaps get about 10% more out of you. Also the workings of transfers is very different from the way United operate.
We have to sign someone even if it's a stop gap before we come back to this deal.
Can someone explain me why is so important to Dortmund to get 120 in cash. Transfer always were payed through years and it was good for books also.

Right mate but any names? I know we aren’t scouts but surely there’s a couple of good and attainable ones out there. I have heard about Chiesa and Sarr but i am not even entirely sure they will improve the first team like Jadon would

Go for Dembele On loan or Chiesa, we won't pay half as much. Nobody will buy Sancho this summer anyway and we need a RW
There's no coming back to this deal if we don't sign him this summer. We're in the rare position where this summer most of the Spanish and English giants don't have anywhere near the funds to sign Sancho. That probably won't be the case next year. If there's multiple clubs after him I can't see us making another effort.

Sounds quite depressing. Greenwood also isn’t starting 50 games next season. Rashford will have to manage carefully with his back problems too
No alternative improves the first XI like Jadon would, but they would be a lot cheaper and you can at least then say "OK, we can go for Grealish and a CB and another". Whereas if we got Sancho maybe we'd only get 1 other?
Who knows. I think the question is still redundant as we rarely (if ever) miss out on a player who we want, and who wants us too.

I don't think Dortmund are necessarily looking for 120 million Euros up front. They just weren't satisfied with the 60 million Euros that we are offering right now (figure according to Daniel Harris). They just want a more favourable pay structure that gives them more of the 120 million Euros up front.
it could be that Dortmund don't want to sell him this summer and this is a way to make the transfer more difficult.
I just hope our boys have a decent plan, and it's not just Sancho on there.
There was a story how we'd put the other targets on hold to concentrate on Sancho, but surely if this one has stalled for a bit, we could go and wrap another deal up?
I suppose the truth is that it's ludicrous optimistic to think we could boot 100m+ into Sancho AND buy someone else of any note the same window.
Dortmund have been distasteful, its not a matter of money. They claim a fake deadline, and then force a 3rd party negotiator which slows down the process. Then they make noise about how they plan for Sancho when they are blatantly still continuing with this negotiation "unofficially". This is not normal - Hirst said we had a cordial relationship with Dortmund and Mkhitaryan was straight forward and direct. Their approach is bemusing.
I don't think it's the overall transfer fee but how much Dortmund are asking for upfront which is a significant chunk of our transfer budget. I'm not sure it's wise to burn out budget on Sancho alone while we need to fix couple other positions.
Just keep having flashbacks of those missed chances for Barcelona when 3-0 up at home to Liverpool.
Put one of those away, they don't lose the second leg, and Liverpool don't win that cup. Potentially they then don't have the season they had this year.

This makes no sense to me... United are willing to give it another 2 weeks before moving on to other targets?? Whats the point, if he's unobtainable then move on now. If we're getting nowhere with Dortmund and Sancho wont force the move, then don't waste anymore time.

That’s true because I am still pretty optimistic it will happen. We will most likely sign the player. But if we don’t or can’t, i would like to see what our alternative list are and if we have enough time to do it if we carry on to posture and drag. Don’t forget if we sign someone, the selling team will need the time to sign a replacement as well
They’ve been complete pricks about it. Getting in front of the media, shoving it all over twitter, getting their players, coaching staff, dinnerladies, to give their 2p on how happy they are Sancho is staying. They can politely reject our request behind closed doors but they clearly enjoy being dickheads about the whole thing.
