Jadon Sancho| Staying at Dortmund for now

Daily routine:
step 1) Dortmund official/player does an interview.
step 2) Interviewer asks a question about Sancho.
step 3) Dortmund official/player answers the question
step 4) Some Twitter account takes up the question
step 5) ???
step 6) "OMG THEY ARE SO OBSESSED THEY CANT STOP TALKING ABOUT IT THE TRANSFER IS CLEARLY ON THEY ARE SO DESPERATE TO SELL!!!"
Funny that Dortmund keep saying he’s not for sale while leaking to journalists that he is for the right price. They wouldn’t need to keep answering questions on his availability if they stopped telling people he can go for €120m.

Is there any source that's actually close to Dortmund which has reported that he's still on the market?

So basically Romano was mistaken. Poor Mark Goldbridge.

Who is next? Have the kit man and the chef say they are happy for Jadon to stay as well?
Jadon Sancho never complains about how we cook his vegetables so it's really important for all the kitchen staff that he's staying.

It's an interesting situation. Say Sancho starts forcing a move, but Dortmund refuses to sell short of their €120m evaluation. Now it's a conundrum. If they don't sell they're left with a disgruntled player, if they bench him for a season he will lose his value and it may prove detrimental to them in the long run. If they keep playing him, will he be as committed. Young players will think twice about commiting knowing they will potentially miss out of a dream move due to Dortmund asking for an exuberant amount of money.

Of course it's always possible to come to some sort of an arrangement between the player and the club.

Just food for thought, nothing more.

Dortmund are a selling club. They won't hurt a prized asset so they will keep playing him. Sancho can dig his heels by playing badly but with Euros at the door is it really worth it? After all less money for Dortmund is less money for him

No one officially but I’m not entirely sure you’re aware how a private briefing works. Whether you like or not, someone is leaking the details of the negotiations and the English press are saying very different things to the German press

Hes back in England every week, so much so he's been getting fined by Dortmund over it.

He will play in England next. I'm pretty sure that much is correct.

Is that true? Why have Dortmund fined him for that, unless it has impacted on his training? E.g. him missing training sessions due to being away so often.

All the club can do is use that information to their advantage. Imagine if we do all of the legwork now and City get him next season.

But they were still sold when the club initially refused?
So the players got their way. Its not as if they were asking to be sold on the cheap. I dont even remember them being lowballed before their moves.

On the fees Dortmund wanted.

People are taking the piss out of Howard Nurse, but isn't the reason he's notoriously slow because he only tweets/comments on things when he has concrete info?

I think the fact he's saying that there is positive news for United in this is quite a big step, yet people are ignoring that because Dortmund have come out AGAIN and said Sancho is staying put.. Almost like they're trying to keep his name in the news.

So by Dortmund leaking to the press you meant United talking to their contacts in the English press?

Yeah it's pretty well known he's homesick and wants to go back to England. He's been fined for coming back late etc.

Hirst has said that Dortmund are putting pressure on Sancho to come out and say he wants to stay.

I feel this is coming to a head this week.

He got fined for getting his hair cut during lockdown last month, I don't know about returning to England.

Nurse's sourses are legit ie by Mrs Sancho herself.. In fact she just confirmed that the contractions had just started and the boy will be delivered in no time

My Gripe is trhat he didnt have to post anything. Or could have just said he is hearing positive news coming from uniteds camp. Thats a bit less attention seeking than "Sancho Then" . And when questioned about it he comes with some very ambiguous anwers about what he was saying

Everyone associated with Dortmund is going to look like a prize tit if Sancho doesn't admit he's staying now after everything has been said.

I grow tired of your playing dumb regarding this transfer. Believe whatever you want to believe, Sancho isn’t for sale, there’s no way he’s leaving this summer, Zoruc has said so therefore it is true and there can be no other outcome. Anyone else claiming to believe this deal may still happen is making it up and doesn’t know anything, especially what Dortmund are thinking.

I’ll just wait until this transfer is done and pop back here to sample your breakdown.

As I said earlier and others have repeated;

This is a clear briefing from the top of Dortmund to go public with "sancho stays" and pressurise him as much as possible to try and guilt trip him into staying.

All over their social media it's Sancho stays, look how happy Sancho is etc. they're begging him to stay and trying to make him seem like a leader to their younger players so he will feel committed.

I think it continues until he says "Se Queda" himself personally.

We need to get Santandave and Stormzy on the case. Throw him a huge party in Manchester so he knows what he's missing

Liverpool or Chelsea in the UK. Real, Bayern or PSG overseas.
Would Liverpool have the money without selling bug first? They couldn't afford Werner even though they won the league. Will anyone give them big money for players soon to hit 30? Don't think so.

Chelsea probably can go after him but they're already packed on the wings. Pulisic, Ziyech, CHO etc.

Madrid are after Mbappe and they got Hazard, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Assensio etc. Don't think they'll have money or need for Sancho when they're going after Mbappe.

Can you see Bayern spending that much on Sancho considering they've got Sane, Gnabry, Koman etc?

PSG could go after him but i guess it will in many ways depend on what happens to Neymar and Mbappe. If they sell one of those they'll go after him, dunno if he would join them though.

Well we don’t, we should do what’s best for the club and if that means going elsewhere then so be it.

Whats best for the club is Jadon Sancho wearing red and playing for United. If Ole has determined that Jadon is the guy, quit jerking around and go get the guy so we can get him acclimated and be ready at the beginning of the season.

This is a couple of questions to our Dortmund supporters.

First I copy Borussia Dortmund analysis of the future and the impact of COVID. It’s from June 29 and it’s information regarding expected annual results 2010/20 to your shareholders. I share a link below if you are interested.

Statement from Borussia Dortmund June 29

Borussia Dortmund group now expects an EBITDA of approx. EUR 62 million and a consolidated net loss of approx. EUR 45 million. This outlook is subject to value-adjusting facts until the completion of the preparation of the annual financial statements and the knowledge gained in the course of the audit of the consolidated financial statements for the 2019/2020 financial year after the balance sheet date as well as possible further transfer income.

My comments
Your Board and CFO expects a net loss of €45m for fiscal year 2019/20. In your Q3 report your EBITA up to Mars 31 was €83m, according to above statement your Board expects a annual 2019/20 EBITA of €62m. That means Q4 will report a loss of approximately €21m. That’s a big loss who annually escalate to a loss of €84m. According to your Q3 report you also have close to €18 in your cash reserves. More. In this report your Board speculate about “possible further transfer income”.

If the Pandemic continue you will soon be out of cash reserves and probably rely on your revolving credit. The statement continue. See below.

Due to the good earnings situation in the past financial years and in the period of the current financial year up to the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, due to a group equity of approx. EUR 355 million as of 30. June 2019 (corresponding to an equity ratio of approx. 71%) and thanks to the company's sustainable positioning, Borussia Dortmund is prepared to bear the expected losses.

Your group of equity is €355m. I’m not sure if that includes assets as players registrations, stadium and so on but your finances looks very healthy. My take on this that your Board expect to cover some of the future losses with players sales. (transfer incomes) Both Man United and Borussia D will make losses in Q4 and therefore I expect your Board to be aware of how much Man United can spend in our first installment.

Questions.
1. With above in mind how much do you think Jadon Sancho is worth in the transfer market next summer if the Pandemic continue?

2. Your Board expects further transfer activities. What’s your view on that?

3. Would you as supporters accepts a sale this summer with a 3 year installment of let say €60m + 30m + 20m? Is that a bad or a good deal for you and for us?

Sancho is a great player but there are other players out there also. Not getting Sancho isn’t the end of the world, and who knows, we might actually be able to sign a couple instead of putting all our eggs in the Sancho basket. We’ve not signed players before and been fine. As long as we strengthen well this summer we’ll improve.

Why the feck has this thread grown by 15 pages since I last looked? Nothings happened

Romano on the Stretford Paddock Podcast saying that United and Dortmund don't have a good relationship and it's complicating matters. Thought some journalists were saying the relationship was actually good?
