Here you go my fellow muppets, though idk if it's shopped or not.

Honestly it's probably some social media manager who retweeted something positive with Sancho's name attached without really thinking about it, or reading the whole tweet.

Yeah I wouldn't read too much into that really, he's just pleased somebody like Ferdinand who he probably grew up watching rates him so highly.

I'm pretty sure Ferdinand knows his family too, as they grew up in a similar area of London together. Anyway it can't hurt our appeal, it seems to be no secret we're chasing him.

I will have none of this sensible mumbo-jumbo in here!

It's either you're full muppet or you're out!

I watch Bundesliga regularly and I must say I'm not terribly impressed by Sancho, I think he is overhyped and he would struggle in the PL. Against Spurs he was completely anonymous instead of showing his quality against PL opposition and so far in 2019 he is really struggling.

He’s a child. Anyone expecting him to be a world beater from day one is being unfair. He’ll be inconsistent, like the majority of young players.

He really wasn't. He showed genuine quality until Poch changed his tactics and moved Vertonghen to attack the left side more. The BD midfield was completely nullified. That wasn't on Sancho

I honestly don't believe that you've watched him in the BL much this year. He's played 9 games and has 2 goals and 5 assists, he's Dortmund's most important attacking player alongside Reus in their title challenge.

If we don't get this transfer done and we lose Herrera, it's going to be a long shite summer.

Stop making sense on a muppet thread. Get out now

I'm not sure what you've been watching to be honest :wenger:

His twitter page is just retweets of anything that makes him look good... like gifs of goals and skills, awards and shout outs.
He retweeted the compliment, not the bit about United. Interesting that he deleted it though, maybe told by Dortmund. Zorc probably angry that his hard nosed bargaining position is being undermined. :)

I would be gob smacked if we don't sign him this summer.

I think if we don't we will live to regret it massively.

Dortmund will be the defining factor in the deal, I think we'll do everything possible to get him, but they hold all the cards really.

I do think it'll happen, just because it makes too much sense not to.

Of course they will because of their ages. Hopefully it wont take long for them to get that consistency. Martial should step up soon as should rashford. Sancho has been ridiculous this year already. It's all young players on the verge of making that step up basically, so a bit of patience and itll happen.

Martial has barely, if at all, developed since his debut season. I dont get why people think he will just suddenly step up. At least you can see development in Rashford.

players can develop at different speeds. Salah was nowhere before last season. suddenly he stepped up to very high levels.

Salah was showing development in Italy...

It is unusual for a forward like Martial to be at one team and not develop after 3 years.

Players do develop at different speeds, but for every player who massively steps up, there are hundreds who fail to do so.

He hasn't developed as a left sided forward because he's a CF. He's also played under Jose for most of that time.

More excuses for him. It’s not any managers fault for his lack of work rate either, that’s on him.

As someone who has watched Martial since he was 15/16 in Lyon I can't say I agree with the idea that he has to play CF over winger in the future.
Especially when Rashford seems to fit that position far better.

Martial was playing under a manager that didn't suit him and something just wasn't clicking between them. Different manager can draw different qualities from players. It's not like Rashford was showing any type of development under Mourinho. He had a mostly decent first year with Mourinho. A standout game last season against Liverpool but really didn't play much in the 2nd half of the season. Then first half of this season was in and out constantly. Ole comes in, puts his faith in him and Rashford rewards it. Martial was playing well before his injury, but the injuries have been the biggest problem for him under Ole. People over reacting and jumping to conclusions because he had one bad game where he was half fit against Wolves now. Classic with people wanting to always jump on his back though.

Anyway, he's been a more regular goalscorer this season than his previous years. He always creates plenty of chances and that part of his game is always developing. Just been unfortunate with injuries.

"Excuses" Ffs. So what would you say for Pogba? He stalled and just was average for 2.5 years but suddenly developed with Ole? The manager being a fecking idiot has nothing to do with any of them stalling right?
Guess we'll say the same or Herrera failing to ever make the step up under Mourinho (despite winning the POTS in his first year, and then being dropped down to a rotation player). Or another great example of Mourinho's management, constant fecking about with Shaw. Are we going to credit Mourinho's "hard management" for Shaw, Pogba, Rashford, Herrera and everyone else now actually showing they are quality players the second he left? Or is it a case of Mourinho was the reason for so many of them to be struggling for any sort of consistency.

Yes Martial failed to push on after his first season. Saying it's some bs excuses is fecking laughable though. The shit that happened between basically summer 2017 to December 2018 is all a write off IMO. Nobody should look at any of the shit between those dates in terms of player performance/development/lack of development because it was one big cluster feck under a manager who doesn't have a clue on how to develop even the most promising young players.

Salah showed development in Italy to an extent but was still inconsistent. He also showed development after he left Mourinho. De Bruyne showed development in Germany when he was away from Mourinho. Lukaku showed development in his game when he left Chelsea to get regular first team football instead of just being a rotation option. Rashford has suddenly showed development now that he's a key player. Martial was playing very well for Mourinho before we bought Sanchez, then got dropped in 2 seconds. Then he eventually worked his way back in this season and scored in like 5 or 6 games in a row and funnily enough was probably the reason Mourinho stayed an extra month or so. And then Ole took over and he was again playing well, but has been interrupted with injuries, and now had a bad couple of performances coming back from injuries. Hardly a shock. Crazy to claim on the back of that, that now he suddenly isn't developing at all.

Hypothetically if Dortmund made it clear that they were not selling him this summer but would be open to a transfer next summer then which viewpoint would you be closer to:

a) We should wait a year for Sancho. He's the perfect player for our team and I'm okay with one more year of Lingard/Mata on the right.
b) Have to move on to another target. There's other good right wingers out there and I can't take another year of no attacks from the right.
