I've read that city are putting in clauses when they sell a player that they player can't be sold on to united and if tge club does they have to pay city 40% - is this media bollocks?

There was one player they sold with a clause something like that (not sure if it would hold up in court). Not Sancho though.
It probably won't hold up in court but we aren't going to go through the hassle of testing it .

Nahhhh... not gonna happen. We will miss out as usual while other clubs (MC,Liverpool) will make great deal in the upcoming transfer

I really need to stop watching him on YouTube and getting my hopes up, but Jesus does he make my butt pucker. Reminds me so much of a young Cristiano.

John Cross running with an exclusive in three different parts that Dortmund have a price in him.

Genuine question, is this kid really all that? I see many posters saying we must go for him, then many also saying the likes of Lozano etc are not good enough for us. Just curious as only watched him a few times and wondering is the fact he is English helping with the hype?

People want another Rooney-esque signing for us, that's all. This gives the same feeling as when Fergie signed the brightest English talent Rooney back then.
He is also very young and plays in a position in which we are the weakest. What's there to prevent muppet juice flowing? :D

For sure, the fact we may finally get a right sided attacker is getting me excited. Just hope if we do spend big on him he is ready to perform for us and not someone we must wait for to adapt due to age, the price tag, being English and playing for United etc. Would rather buy an experienced and ready player if that is the case.

Really gets the muppet juices flowing, can we just skip the rest of the season and get straight into the transfer window?

He's currently the world leading assister tied with Lionel Messi, at 18 years old. I'd say he's alright.

It's not only that though, his speed and agility are fantastic. He's 1 of the best dribblers in the world due to that. He's very similar to Hazard in style, he just has that X factor.

There's never any guarantees. Not even with experienced players (Sanchez).

From Dortmund's POV, developing a player and then selling a player like Sancho after such a short time, is both a good way of earning money, but also a pretty big advertisement for other young players to go to Dortmund in the future, to kickstart their careers.

I loved Hazard pre Chelsea, so that similarity is very good to hear. Well if we sign him I will certainly not be upset but I hope he will be a player for now because if good enough age doesn't really matter and as a club we need to kick on and spend well.
Lets hope if he really is that good and potentially great that he doesn't end up back at City or at Liverpool he must be at United if back in England.

Of course, but what I mean is if we sign him, he starts and is a first choice player and we give him the confidence to carry on and not drop him the first poor game he has.

Sancho plays a role for Dortmund very much Lingard does for us currently. Off the right, drifts centrally and is a great creator of chances so he would in our current style like a dream. He's English and could give us his whole career if we get him early. He is in my opinion the best teenager in the world and his ceiling could be huge. He's the real deal.

Lozano is someone I would take in a heart beat. Not sure why other posters have said he's not good enough?. Maybe they are comparing him to Sancho which is wrong as they are slightly different players at different stages of their careers. Lozano is more direct and is quick. He wants to be running in behind the defence, but recently has added more to his game. He's a great passer and does so at the right times now.

Imo we only have rashford and maybe Lingard who make runs in behind the defence. It's one part of Martials game that is missing, Lukaku has done it at other clubs but does it less so with us. Having Lozano would give us something else. Something other teams have in abundance, Sterling and Sane for instance. We have no wingers that look to make those runs and we need to add that to our game. Sancho and Lozano both coming in for Sanchez and Mata? Yes please!!

Get rid of Sanchez and bring in Lozano, I'd take that inn a heartbeat

I like Lozano and felt he did well at the World cup so I would also welcome him. Both would be awesome and not unnecessary in my opinion. I really hope we see the likes of Mata and Sanchez leave in the summer and I also feel Lingard is only good enough as a bench option if we want to challenge big. As you touched on with City they have an abundance of talent to call on based on their playing style and a big reason why when they click they can score for fun, I'd like us to get that consistency to our squad and team play.

"..despite Dortmund’s public stance that the 18-year-old is not for sale at any price – a bid in excess of £80m is expected to be enough to lure him to Old Trafford..'

Lovely. Get it done Woodward and Ole. It's the kind of deal Manchester United should be making. He's absolutely perfect for us and will boss the right flank for years.

Lozano hasn't looked anything special for the limited viewings I've seen of him. Sancho looks genuinely special. Both would be overkill. Also, didn't lozano play on the left at the WC?

I'm not sure we need him to be world class, but he's a hard worker who runs constantly. It's the sort of wide player we used to love signing, I can see why Solskjaer would like him.

If we're looking at him for a bench/rotation slot there isn't many better 2nd fiddles.

He is not as good as Rooney was back then though.

Hes got plenty of potential but EW will not fancy the fee tbh and if our budget is £150m then can only see next season being similar to this in that we will be playing catch up instead of actually competing!

He floated a bit for Mexico if I recall but yes mostly there but he is just as comfortable on the right by all accounts. I have seen more than him than Sancho but still not a great deal and he has impressed for the most part. Maybe the two is overkill but options are needed and the fact for me Lingard is not that special I would prefer to have better options on both sides or for an interchanging front three.

Would rather have Timo Werner than Lozano tbf but if we are selling Sanchez and not renewing Mata's contract, I can see why we would want another wide player. But get the feeling that our attack will be very young then, no one above 23 other than Lukaku
If it were upto me, I would sell Lukaku for 50-60 mill and buy Werner for 35 mill odd but I don't think he would be happy sitting on the bench.

We absolutely need players to be of a high quality. Enough signings meant to be squad players. We have a hard worker who runs hard like Lingard. Time for genuine technical talent.

We have to be realistic. We aren't signing 7 players this summer. Two wingers would most likely be too much. I'd rather get a winger and a 10/CF/playmaking wide forward. But I suppose one can't complain about quality additions (if they are that) in an area we need bolstering.
