A few years ago, I felt the highest rated kids from the 2000 group was Sancho, Foden, and Gomes. And probably Sessegnon.
He's fallen away badly

Even if he doesn't improve from this point, he's already one of Dortmund's best players. Any small improvement and he'll basically be world class.
Uh no? He was rated the same as Foden,CHO or Brewster, he was even on the bench in favor of CHO at some point.Highest rated English talent is his age group that won the world cup no?
No he wasn't, there was a lot of talented 2000 players and no one really set himself apart, Sancho wasn't even rated higher than Foden or CHO, they were kinda even.Haven't seen the original quote but if you're talking about Sancho then he 100% was rated the highest in that group.

I'm talking English talent. And the consensus was that the English kids were the best collection from that generation.Na.
Fiete-Arp,Gouiri,Adli were rated just as high as the English kids during the World Cup/Euro U17.
Any chance of Hudson-Odoi as a Plan B?
I know Chelsea would hate to lose him but if he's running his contract down they'd surely rather get £40/50m from us than nowt. And they did sell us Matic.

He shoots more from the left side as he can cut in easier, on the right he plays more as a traditional winger. Good both sides though. Is he not a left winger? Has played on the right side recently but I think he prefers the left side.
Talented player.

No chance, they'll sell abroad if he's desperate to go.

Too much money for Sancho.
£8mHow much has he been sold for? I missed when it happened.

Coming from someone who follows English youth teams I can assure you he was. Of course Foden and CHO were also extremely highly rated, but still slightly behind him.
Yeah, he scored three goals in the group stages.Did Sancho stand out in the U17 WC before being called back to Dortmund?
If our window was signing Alderweireld, Rabiot and Sancho what would you all think? Plus selling a few players we don't need.

I’ve said earlier in the thread that for me personally I thought he was at a similar level to Gomes, CHO and Foden. Gomes fell behind obviously but I guess Sancho was the more eye catching of the lot due to his flair. People talked about Timothy Weah and Vinicius as the other super talents in that 2000 group but I think Sancho was better than them, Foden and CHO are better too.
Take no notice of that. Solanke was the leading goal scorer for England...Did Sancho stand out in the U17 WC before being called back to Dortmund?
Do you regret buying Martial? If not, then yes, he is.Is this kid really worth £80m? Someone convince me
I'd just stick with Dalot as first choice personally. Perhaps risky but playing every week will be best for his development and he looks like he's got the potential to be good enough. Frees up money to spend on Sancho to fix the right wing issue and more money to throw at De Ligt and another CM.If we could get a RB currently in their prime, like a Meunier, someone who would allow us to ease Young out, while allowing Dalot to develop, I would be happy with that. The thing about signing Toby is that we’ll soon need to be thinking about his replacement as well. Someone like De Ligt would be perfect. Young, already very good and a leader.

Lots of hypothetical situations there. Chelsea are transfer banned and already secured pulisic and have Hudson adoy who fails to get chances. Real Madrid already have a youngster more talented who I think will be better than Sancho if given play time in Brahim diaz who they just recently bought along side ascensio and viniscus junior. It will be difficult for them to offload bale with the price and salary he is on. I don't see any reason psg will get rid of top class striker given their ucl ambitions and see Sancho fulfilling those. Juventus don't buy youngsters for huge prices and already have players like bernardeshi who shone against athletico and retain costa too. Sale of coutinho remains far fetched as well.

More likely City will snap Sancho. Has he made clear he doesn't want to go back to City?
Pep's comments this weekend about Sancho make it unlikely he'll go back to City IMHO.
As for price, remember that Ousmane Dembele was sold for £135m only a couple of years ago and put in very similar numbers to what Sancho has so far (10 goals, 21 assists in 49 games to Sancho's 9 goals and 15 assists in 34 games). The market has inflated since then and Dortmund will know that Sancho will have basically all of England's top clubs after him soon, especially if he impresses for the national team at the Nations League Final or Euro 2020. They can afford to wait it out and sell Sancho at his maximum value.
I doubt we'll sign him this year but it's well worth a try. For anyone thinking £80m is expensive for him, Dortmund would turn that down in a heartbeat. I'm not even sure they will consider £120m. If we offer a fee above Dembele's and maybe pay most of it up front, that might tempt them.
Transfer fees this Summer will be insane IMHO.
