Jadon Sancho - Chelsea (loan) watch

Rave reviews after playing herpesheim - Caf shall never change

It's Redcafe. In other threads, Rasmus is getting lauded as the second coming of the Brazilian Ronaldo after a couple of goals at home to Boba Gump.
They are warranted

Would have been interesting to have seen if Amorim would have found a way to get him back to being decent as one of the left sided 10s

Might have been a good fit but his workrate would have probably been an issue. His pressing stats are generally decent for an attacker but not compared to someone like Mount.

For me it doesn't matter how well he does at Chelsea, I don't think we can look back and regret selling him. It's a shame but best for him and the club.

We have way many players that dont fit the system, a lazy Sancho would hardly be Amorim's dream. I'm glad we managed to ship him out no matter the fee.

Very good today overall I thought. Consistently got into dangerous positions and created problems by running at the defense. Probably should have gone down to win a penalty but credit to him in the long run for playing on.

It was a complete performance. I could care less about what he did on the ball because we know what he brings. He was very good with his pressing and tracking which is what will ultimately cement his place.

shows he intentionally dialled it back at united then, what a cnut.
My Utd supporter roommate has said the same . TBF it may just be the environment. Palmer, Neto and even Madueke work a lot off the ball, so perhaps he's simply rising to the challenge.

Id have liked to see him under Amorim because he has only gotten chances with Ole, Ten Hag & Southgate. The LF/LAM role would have suited him, Hojlund more than Garnacho.

However, his wages were probably too high to not accept Chelsea's offer to get him off our books for a relatively still young player that we overpayed for.

Please no. It's good that everyone realised it's not worth to continue and the break is good for everyone.

One of the worst signing for us, wasted around 170 million on him and Antony when we had a player like Amad in that position.

It's absolutely not. His attitude was dogshit.
Looking at his career so far it seems that he needs someone in the staff who knows how to deal with him in a way that he stays motivated and takes care of what has to be done. He seems to lack that intrinsic drive most top players usually have. In Dortmund it was Edin Terzic (both as assistant and later as manager) who took care of that, but noone at United seems to have done a similar job.

He had an okay game in which Chelsea won.. lets not forget he had okay / good games at United and we thought... is this the start of something and then his attitude lets him down.

I see the same fate for him at Chelsea.

Or maybe he's not a 3 year old and can take responsibility for his own performances.

Not really, he was exceptional in his first stint but I dont know why everyone is glossing his loan spell. He had 1 good game against PSG.. He was not good in last season for them.

I'm not. In his loan spell he showed just moments, but not consistent performance. I am simply willing to ignore that based on the fact that he went a long time without proper team training sessions at United.

I was thinking about his first stint, in Sancho's final season Terzic already took over as interim manager after being an assistant to Favre before (and Sancho then was the key player to drag them into the CL again and more importantly to win the cup).

I think he had many good games, only the scorers were missing. Still not as good as his first stint obviously but that was ridiculously good. So good he would have deserved the hype Bellingham had when he left.

I’m impressed with his workrate which was my biggest concern.

He is up against multiple wingers who work hard though. At Man United he was up against Rashford who appears even lazier than Sancho did.

Completely different attitude though and willing to fight his way into the team.

He was so good for Dortmund in his second spell there that they didn’t make us an offer to sign him permanently, even though he was available for a low fee. That’s about it, not sure why people want to re-write the past.

Always been insanely talented, if Chelsea manage to get him to consistently play at a high level then kudos. Maybe it suits him better to be in a club where the atmosphere is a bit more relaxed and he can be rotated a bit more, less overall pressure and less media focus. No doubt that he has a problematic mindset which makes him difficult to handle.

He looked okay for me. Did the job what manager asked him to do. Nothing flashy yet. Seems maresca trusted him more and always give him a start if he is fit.

Looks like he has lot more to give but seems to apply the brakes may be instructions from manager. Yesterday formation and always Enzo and cucurella available for passing channels overall sancho did well.

For me 25 mn worth a risk for him at the end of the season.
