So is this official then?

Have United made an official announcement yet?

Can't I finally watch the obligatory YouTube videos of the player without getting my hopes up only for the deal to fall through?

I'd love to see it!

Main summer signing done before July is a good start to the transfer window. Signings getting to have a pre-season with us makes a difference, I think.

Remember all the talk from Ajax about DVB? I wouldn't base my expectations on that :nervous:

Ajax do that to every homegrown player that leaves the club it seems, they even posted an heartfelt tribute this week for a random youth product who left for Genk.

Wow. Assuming this is now how it is, then they got it done, got it done early and got it done for a bit less than expected. And at the same time things are apparently progressing seriously with Varane AND with Camavinga. All three of whom are players it would be really great if United signed. And we're still in June.

It's almost starting to look like the transfer department is now doing....dare I say it.....a pretty decent job!!!

We still need at minimum one more player for our starting 11.

Personally I think a CDM is needed more than a CB.

If McFred is our pair week in week out again then we are shooting ourselves in the foot

For the BDL brigade

Best part about this. Feck all those pompous BvB mouthpieces with all the "Its 95M or nothing. Wont sell for a penny less, United know the price no negotiation".

Take that. #YouLoveToSeeIt

I've often been negative about United's negotiation and transfer market dealings. This is a serious case of well done.

I really hope he is as good as many think.

It's not just the high fee, it's the 2 summers of pursuit during covid have now made expectations higher.

If he isn't as advertised this could set the club back a long way. Losing money during a pandemic then throwing huge money about could piss off our already stingy owners.

We've been burnt twice by Bundesliga signings so I am only cautiously optimistic as of now.

I will be supportive and hope he is a success though. Just hard to be excited when I've only seen him sparingly and when I did he was meh. He also isn't left footed and a traditional wing role these days is difficult without immense pace and power.

Rashford s surgery for the beginning of the season will provide a huge opportunity for him.

That's right. They did that as the info was old, and what they now know is that there's more uncertainty over Sancho's new number.
Ah fair enough. Its a minor point anyway, his number is secondary to me!

We now have some of best in the world amongst the various age groups.

30+ Cavani
27-30, Pogba, Maguire, De Gea,
23-26, Fernandes, AWB, Shaw, Rashford, Sancho, Martial, VDB,
17-22, Greenwood, Amad

As you can see A world class CDM is missing, as none of Fred, McTomminay (at present) or Matic are amongst best in the world for their age and you need one world class CDM, doesn’t have to be a big name just someone who comes in and puts in world class performances.
You do know Sancho is 21, right?

That's £10m we'll be giving to City (via the sell-on clause BvB signed) to put towards them buying Grealish.

Who cares...Whaaahhhh.!

Please don’t ruin him like VDB, Lukaku or Memphis
He’s already at a far better level than any of them were when we signed them.

We didn’t “ruin” any — two of them are doing just fine, and I really don’t think the last one is that great anyway.

Nice weirdo energy on signing our top target, btw
