Yeah that Bruno’s attacking output has been terrible hasn’t it. Oh and Rashford only scored 20 odd goals while carrying an injury all season, how shite!

Thats why i rate Bruno and Rashford, both quality players, but they would look even better if they played for Liverpool or City, ever since Fergie left United struggles going forward.

We struggle with the exact same things now than we did under Fergie in his last few seasons. You're talking twaddle. Our attack has improved under Ole.

Lovely title change, that’s big day stuff that is.

Deal is closer than close, closer than any tweeter could ever imagine.

Sorry I'm not sure of your point? We shouldn't have bought Diallo, Pellistri and VdB last season and should have just got Sancho for the full price instead?

Several points come to mind.

We spent at least 65m on three players who made zero impact, two of whom play in Sancho’s favored position at RW.

If we’re going to save only 20m over what was demanded last year, it seems in retrospect that it would have been well worth it to spend that 20m on him than on the 65m on three players who made zero contribution.

At the very least it can’t be denied we actually had the funds to pull this off last season. But it may well be the case that the Glazers felt they needed to send a message that they will not be held hostage to a purported ransom demand.

This zero contribution argument is weird. Amad scored a very important goal against Milan and has had a year adapting to the club. By all accounts he's got very bright future here and I'm for one very glad we got him. Also he was supposedly a target for Dortmund as a Sancho replacement. The other two, if we only signed people 1 season at a time it makes sense, but we don't.

Add on top of all of this we're still going to get Sancho a year later. There's literally no guarantee on Sancho's effectiveness and there still isn't. Now we will have 4 players on our books rather than just blowing our entire budget on 1.

Just hope it takes us until 2 or 3 games to realise he's yet another player who massively favours the left, and will spend most of the game trying to end up over there.

:wenger:

 don't tempt fate.

I for one think he will be a great success, but I just can't see the logic behind the argument we should have just coughed up the money.
