How are we 208 pages in and there are still folks that think he’s a pace merchant. That’s not his game at all.
Or someone comes in and queries which position he plays like it hasn’t been discussed and debunked a million times already.

I think its pretty daft fans getting joy out of watching so many of their clubs players failing for the nation of where the team they support is from. But thats a discussion for another thread.

Who said anything about joy?

You said it's silly how annoyed people might get if the transfer is delayed by England beating Germany. I said it's only silly if you're English. There is a broad spectrum of emotions between annoyed and joyful.

What utter nonsense!
What's nonsense? That Van de Beek played no role last year? That Amad and Pellistri played no role last year? That signing Sancho last year likely would've been enough of a difference to make it past the group stage of the CL last year and put less reliance on Rashford and not overplay him? The 30m we will have saved for a year of waiting is hardly worth it when you take those points into account. Especially when you consider that Van de Beek did feck all and we'll likely just sell him one of the next few summers at a loss when he wants regular football and won't ever get it here.

Feels a bit silly how extra annoyed people will be on here if we beat Germany on Tuesday and potentially delay this deal by a mere few days.

I think the expectations that England will beat Germany are low TBH

You do have a bit of a point in that potentially we could have gone further in the some of the cups but I'm not having the CL.

Sancho would not have made any difference to the defensive howlers which fecked up our CL campaign.

Why? The teams are fairly evenly matched and the Germans are badly out of form.
Agreed, I’m personally a lot more hopeful than I would normally be in a knockout game vs Germany. It’s obviously very difficult to call but there’s a lot of reason for optimism amongst English supporters.*

*unless we’re still drawing after 120 minutes.

This is why I expect Germany to win, everything is in our favour this time around, Great squad but I just have that feeling Germany will win 1-0,

Don't get me wrong if I was English I wouldn't be overly confident and I think it could be tight but as a neutral I can't see this German team keeping a clean sheet.

A big part was our lack of creativity against Istanbul after we rotated a good chunk of players. Better rotation options if Sancho starts probably does enough IMO. But anyway, point being was that Sancho would've improved us last year and also had a year to bed in the PL and instead we signed a whole lot of players who made no impact at all, only to go out and sign him next year for a measly 30m less.

Sorry imo we went out due to awful defensive errors and 30m is not measly

I think he will be another Kawaga, Sanchez or Di Maria. Its really hard looking good for United as an offensive player in recent years.

Not under Ole’s United. I know Kagawa was Fergie’s years, but he just didn’t suit the system. Sancho does, he’s exactly what we need.

Recent years and listing Kagawa is a bit daft. His time at the club was a lifetime ago really, just not relevant at all. He didn't fit the system. Sanchez was on the decline, Di Maria looked good until LVG turned ultra negative, and he never actually wanted to be here which didn't help. Saying Sancho will end up like that lot is so laughably negative and purposefully ignorant.

 Thats the spirit!

2 players who came here for money and stopped trying after a few games. Awesome examples!

We probably should just not bother signing anyone anymore then and perpetually mourn the failure of two of the biggest knobs to ever play for this club.

Kagawa was decent enough in his first season and I think it was pretty clear Fergie would have sold Rooney.

Then Fergie left and Moyes happened.

He’s a Bayern fan looking at his support. But the grapes are certainly sour

exactly. He was also unlucky that van Persie became available shortly after we signed him ... Fergie retiring and Moyes backing Rooney did the rest.

From BVB's ultra reliable paper
Reckon this one is already done and things are just being delayed a bit due to the Euros
