Is this going to happen then? Is he any good?

You sound like you are from India. They tend to get flustered and start making less and less sense once you are in their head.
I'm not Indian and to be honest I'm not really that close to many Indians but I am offended by that on their behalf, wash your mouth out man.

Not sure he’s ever played on the right before. I’d prefer Grealish.

lolz
Interesting. I heard he can only play well when he has space to run into. A bit like Dan James but worse

I’ve 40m before. But let’s say 35m. Didn’t we also spend another 30-40m for Diallo and Pellistri? Let’s say it was only 30m. That’s 65m right there for 3 players who made zero impact in 20-21. Players for the future no doubt, but Sancho is also a player for the future.

We can only speculate, but it’s not scandalous to believe that Jadon would have had a greater impact for United in 20-21 than Donny, Amad and Facundo combined. Probably a trophy (EL) or if not the EL because we went through in the CL at least respectable showing in the CL. If this Chelsea squad was able to do great things in the CL, United with Sancho would have had a puncher’s chance in the CL as well.

Sorry I'm not sure of your point? We shouldn't have bought Diallo, Pellistri and VdB last season and should have just got Sancho for the full price instead?

Of course it is, because we're getting Sancho a year later for cheaper. So now we have 4 players and the player we wanted all along.
But we also spend 34m on a player who had 0 impact and likely no long term role either. So last season it's not unfair to say we probably would've at least made the next round of the CL had Sancho signed. I'd rather have had Sancho a year early with him bedding in and not signed an expensive flop. Wouldn't have needed to run Rashford into the ground either. Pellistri if we're honest likely won't amount to anything either apart from selling and hoping for a profit.

Also it's likely he's asking for more in wages now. Not signing him last year was just kinda pointless unless it wasnt financially viable, as maybe we didn't have the upfront money they wanted and the transfers we did make might not have been huge up front fees. But still. The end result was we didn't strengthen our starting 11 or our squad with any of the signings apart from Cavani in actual performances.

Hate to break it to you, but Sancho could be an expensive flop too. Not that I think he will be.

It's better we have multiple options for now and the future, rather than just putting all our budget onto one player. The VDB argument isnt really a solid one as there's no way to ever know a transfers impact.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

Well I've been following these last few pages all day and I've not been able to say anything, wow, lots of arguing,
Again I was hoping for some positive news today, perhaps anything happening over a weekend is unrealistic.
Let's get it done

When this is done please spam Dortmund twatter with "you love to see it". Yes I'm that petty.

MEN running with a story that Dortmund have accepted a fee?

Manchester United are getting closer to sealing a transfer for Jadon Sancho, with a fee now agreed with Borussia Dortmund.

The Manchester Evening News understands Sancho, 21, has agreed personal terms in principle and an up-front fee of €85m (£73m) has been settled on, with Dortmund attempting to extract up to €15m in add-ons.

What utter nonsense!

Nah

There’ll be immediate calls about how we should’ve gone for Grealish instead and how Sancho wasn’t needed because he’s actually better on the left

Would be hilarious since Graelish is markedly better on the left and, whatever advantages he holds over Sancho, is not as good as him on the right.

This whole “get it done” is it a bit weird. It is done basically, he’s still not going to be playing or training with us for weeks anyway. It’s not as if we can’t go on and do other business before we post a little video announcing the deal on Twitter.

The lack of constant information made the old transfers "exciting". Now we get hourly updates on transfers and end up being quite relieved that it went though and the whole circus is over.

If we can lower the fee by 5-10 million, I`ll be happy. It is not monopoly money, despite what some might think.

Ye I don't get those who say we should just pay whatever. 5-10 million would probably pay a years wages for all those employed at united who isn't a player manager or director of some sort.

Let’s get back on track and have a big day today.
