Unlike last season, Bundesliga fans seem more confident of this happening than United fans. What’s going on?

Most discussions with the BLP happened after the Dortmund officials publicly claimed Sancho stays, no matter what happens, after the deadline had passed. And even before, the evaluations seemed much farther apart than right now. The obstacles remaining to take are far lower than they were last season, IMO, and I expect this to happen now.

*Sigh* This thread is not giving me the daily dose of entertainment it typically delivers on

Wasn't it Sepp Blatter who made the slave comment?
Yes it was Blatter who likened it to modern slavery and wouldn’t apologise. Ronaldo had nothing to do with it but that won’t get in the way of the critics

Sancho "Tell me about your adventure in Greece"
Maguire "They handcuff me like this'

It is certainly possible, like most things in life, its quite obviously not happening though, is it? Imagine STILL being worried about Chelsea signing Sancho  how do some of you even leave the house with so much fear inside you.

Fear? No. Just eight years of watching United feck up almost everything they touch.

My guess is that we'll get this one over the line, but never underestimate United's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

United will be a further €50 million away from Dortmund's valuation when he scores the winner tonight only for Klopp to secure a €25 million deal for the player next week.

As Dortmund announce Shaqiri as Sancho's replacement for a snip at €60 million.

I stand corrected. he did. He said he agreed with it. 2008 seems a long time ago now and things would not be said in that way without a huge furore
Yeah, tbh I think with him staying that extra year it smoothed over any troubled waters that might have arisen in 2008. So your point still stands.

A friend of mine living in Essen and a season ticket holder at Dortmund told me yesterday when we had our weekly catch up that everyone over there knows he’s going to United this summer. The deal is done.

Not quite though ...

You think a deal of this magnitude could be completed between the time it was announced we made our first bid to now? This deal was agreed last summer actually. The deal was done last season in principle and the finer details to be sorted out now like over how many years and bonus if we win the CL etc.

In principle means feck all in business. When the contracts have been signed then I’ll believe it.

Meanwhile let’s rejoice in the return of Tom Heaton

That would basically what we paid for Lukaku a few years ago

Seems like every other day they rehash the same variables and throw it out on twitter without any true source ......this is a very different approach from Dortmund than what we saw last summer.
