Ivan Perisic

I do believe this forum has the worst eye for talent on the internet!

People manage to have opinions on players they dont even see play.
Hahaha this is so true, he has always been a good and solid player. Workrate and desire, he is just what this Utd team is lacking, would take him over Martial every day.

Since when were you part of the United negotiation team?
@el3mel's description of events was widely reported at the time and is backed by a lot of quantifiable information, namely Inter's FFP situation.

Woodward wouldn’t pay what was necessary because he doesn’t have #hashtag appeal.

Send Sanchez that way

Who saw how he tracked back to tackle Mbapppe in the first 15 minutes i think. I truly think we’re gonna get him and I know he’s “old” but I think Mourinho will get his man.

It's backed up by feck all.
There's a PDF of a report from the Club Financial Control Body's investigatory chamber available to download from UEFA's website that says different but something tells me it won't make a blind bit of difference to you so I'll leave it be.

It says "the failure of the transfer is down to Ed Woodward"? Leave me be all you like.

I never said anything about whether the failure of the transfer was specifically down to Woodward or not, as far as I'm concerned there are usually way too many variables in these kinds of situations to blame any one party. I was simply corroborating some of the clear and obvious chain of events around the negotiations that you tried to cast doubt on. Why are you being so hostile over such a trivial thing anyway?

Ed Woodward was blamed for our failure to sign Ivan Perisic. He's often blamed for a range of things that nobody really knows anything about. Reading the same half-witted remarks via people who have no idea what goes on in a United boardroom is tiresome, hence I asked the initial poster the question: Since when were you part of the negotiation team at United?

That's the only doubt cast from my point of view.

What are we gonna do, replace Sanchez with him? We picked a similar hardworking player instead. Now we need a right winger

Not so shite anymore, eh? Credit to Mourinho for wanting him beforehand it became cool.

I bet if he comes here he'd be bang average.

"Never sign WC heroes", as the saying goes.

Does that specifically mention Woodward, and how he tried to use Inters financial situation to bargain for a better deal?

If Jose wants to a 3-5-2, with Perisic as LWB and meaning Sanchez is in the front 2 with Lukaku... I would say that’s awesome and we should seriously consider it. Pretty sure I read somewhere that Dalot is somewhat like a right sided winger, as well as a right sided full-back... meaning he could be a RWB. Young and Valencia can definitely be classed as WBs too.

Or alternatively if Perisic can do the business on the right wing then we should consider it.

I liked the look of him when we were originally linked with him last year too.

His performances have confirmed Jose was right to want him even for 40/50 million last year.

There's going to be one awkward conversation between Jose and Woodward for sure.

Croatia still lost mate. I don’t think Ed will be scratching his head too much.
