Players like Pogba, Lukaku, Dalot, Fred, Bailly, Lindelof yeah...

Maybe Bailey isn't good as fans think he is. Perisic has

Bar Dalot as he hasn't proved anything yet all the players you mentioned are class players with a lot of potential to become even better, Perisic however is not, yes every now and then he does have a good game but if you've ever watched inter half the time he does literally feck all and he is at his peak at the moment. Would cost prob around 25-30 m and would change absolutely nothing in the terms of how we play, he is not United quality and will be 30 in 6 months, imo the definition of a worthless signing.

As long as Caf don't want him I'm pretty sure he'll be great here, it works that way, please get him in and we have Darmian to throw to them to decrease the price tag.

I misread the point you was trying to make, apologies. Perisic is a good player and we would been better off if we had signed him last year. He would have been far from a worthless signing, especially considering our delivery is shite.

Aye, that worked a treat for Lindelof. He was magnificent last season, a Colossus.

"No thanks, not that impressive", says the people who evidently haven't seen much of this guy playing. I am not too sure this is real anyway, probably just speculation after Jose's comments but if we were to sign Perisic, I would be excited.

I think Lindelof signing has been underwhelming from the chase, to the signing, all through his first season. I don't remember much excitement when he was bought at all.

Everyone was happy with Lindelof signing though.

Yeah, no.

I remember that when were linked with him the majority were saying that we don't need a young unproven CB, especially one that only looked moderately good in an under-par league, because apart from the 4 main CBs we already had (Smalling, Bailly, Jones, Rojo) we also had a couple of young ones that showed plenty of promise (Tuanzebe, TFM).

I know, cause I was one of those people.

Same for Perisic, hardly anyone follow Inter here regularly but jumping to conclusion he's not good enough based on nothing except his name isn't shiny enough.
I’ve seen him since his BVD days and am pretty convinced he’s not the one for us.

He’s one of the best genuine wide attackers in the world!

I remember the thread for him after was signed was full of praise and the few who thought he wasn't good enough was getting multiple replies from the others. I actually had no opinion on him as I had never seen him playing so I only wished he'll be as good as Portuguese reports.

Anyway we're still in it, we don't know if he'll come good or not.

I’m not his biggest fan but he’s had a very good WC and he’s a perfect Mourinho fit. I would be ok with signing him but I wouldn’t be ecstatic.

I am more reluctant to believe Ronaldo will win WC Play of tournament if I am being told now than Perisic is in advance talk. I meant Croatian team is few days from the biggest game of their football history so far. Even the subs would want to focus let alone one of the starter. And there was strangely no prior interest rumor, no offer for Inter. Does make sense for advance talk so sudden

This is new Gaitan link isn't it?

TBH I really don't see why Inter would sell. They're playing CL again for first time in about 5 years so can't believe this summer they'd sell him or Icardi given how well they link up unless he really pushes for a transfer.

Last summer was time to sign him.

No because we actually wanted to sign Perisic.

We already have too many guys who are more effective playing on the left. He is not better than Sanchez or Martial. There is no point going for him. We could use a Left Footed Winger but, one who is more effective on the right is what we need.

We should have gone for him before - now may be too late.

No thanks, not that impressive.
This. People quickly forgot his first half perfomance against England. Utterly ineffective and possibly worst player on Croatia side. Won MotM after an assist and a goal in the second half but that summed him up in Inter shirt, inconsistent.

He missed few good chances vs Russia, Denmark as well and got subbed off by the end of the match every times. But Caf loves another LW so why the feck not.

Can he play as a RW? If so, then he is what we need: a winger who can stretch play and assists Lukaku from wide.

If not, we already have Sanchez and Martial for LW, so a big no.

would have been better taking a punt on Yarmalenko who west ham just signed, if this is the kind of player we were after, might not have worked for him at Dortmond but still a very good footballer and would have improved our RW problem

Rebic, Brandt, Bailey, Willian, Dembele, Bale (okay so the last two are pretty much unattainable) are all options I would go for ahead of Perisic.

Quite straightforward. Inter wanted £50M and Martial on loan. Last season in all competitions both players had same amount of goals with Perisic having 2 more assists in over 1,000 more minutes played as a constant starter rather than someone who was a squad player. Inter's asking price was ridiculous when they paid about £17M for him in the first place.

Perisic offers much more than those goals / assist stats. That's the difference between him and Martial. Don't get me wrong, I think Martial has incredible potential and should be kept if he wants to stay. But i just wanted to clear that about Perisic. He works very hard for the team, defends as much as he attacks, can use both feet, can play across the front three roles, is good in the air and offers a threat from set pieces. Goals / assist stats just don't tell his whole story. If Jose wants him, I think we should get him.

They wanted Martial because we tried to twist their FFP problems in our favor instead of paying the asking price in June and go on, so when they solved it they wanted revenge by asking for over price and Marial. Prior to that they wanted no one in exchange, just money.

The failure of transfer was fully on Ed due to the way he tried to benefit from their FFP issues as if it's sure he will be the winner and they have no other option but to sell.

Since when were you part of the United negotiation team?
