Israeli - Palestinian Conflict

RT is a disgusting "channel" that's nothing more than State run Russian propaganda. Here, a presenter rails against US TV bias on Israel/Palestine, while RT just spent the past 6 months spearheading a nasty smear campaign to legitimize Russia's invasion and annexation of Crimea. In short, they will broadcast anything to advance their boss Putin's agenda - here, using the channel as a device to highlight flaws in western coverage while they themselves are far worse than Fox News in their attempts to brainwash audiences. They could give a rats ass about Israelis or Palestinians, as long as it advances Russian policy against the West.

You could also try to argue against her points, not particularly this video, I've watched a few of these.

This goes against what you are assuming, and against what she says:

What sort of chaos do you think it would cause ? The rise of an even more extreme group ?

It's possible. At least when Hamas is in charge you get period of relative peace between those operations every 2-3 years, as they control the smaller groups.

Likewise, CNN & the likes are disgusting pro US/Zionists channels defending Israel at all costs and minimizing the war crimes in GAZA.

They're actually not. Just because they don't advance the news in a way that you would like them to does not make them "pro-Zionists". In the case of RT, its a government run channel funded specifically to advance the Russian government's policies. CNN is a private channel that is as middle of the road in journalism as it gets.

I suppose the flip side of that argument is the more time they are given, the more advanced their weapons get. Rockets from Iran and Hezbollah this time, something a bit more advanced next time. I'm sure the Israeli government is factoring that into their logic in terms of how to deal with the current situation.

Hopefully, but I just don't believe they have the courage to do anything serious. Obviously the more right winged sections of the government are calling for heavy action which will solve this once and for all, but Netanyahu was already dragged into this operation. He really did not want it.

Meanwhile, Hamas promised to shower Tel Aviv with rockets at 21:00 local time. While it was a few minutes late, it was true to its word!

CNN are not middle of the road by any stretch. CNN International is bad enough and that's for the international audience - CNN USA is much much more partisan. AP, AFP, Reuters, sometimes the BBC are the best neutral sources, but the BBC sometimes does push agendas too.

How far are these rockets reaching ? To Tel Aviv I'm hearing ?

They already reached Tel Aviv in the previous operation in 2012, a few times. Now it's on a more regular basis. In fact, they have already reached past Tel Aviv - all the way towards Haifa. They've got rockets with a capability of around 110 km now, covering a large part of the population. I suppose next time it won't be about reach but avoiding Iron Dome... Somehow. It's the only thing that prevented many deaths.

What agenda are BBC and CNN pushing that AP, AFP, Reuters and other wire services aren't ? They're all basically middle of the road, and ridiculously unbiased compared to RT, which is state sponsored propaganda intended specifically to influence foreign audiences on the Russian political agenda.

Israeli - Palestinian Peace Talks to Resume

This one just shows up completely empty to me. I just tried in Chrome, though, and it shows up there. Perhaps Adblock has diversified into blocking retarded propaganda as well. Honestly, what on Earth was he thinking? "Hah, that'll show 'em?"

Its a massive image that Holyland posted, preceded by a quoted post from someone else. There's not text in HR's post, just the image.

Yeah, like I said it does show up when I try it in chrome, but not in Firefox - which is what I normally use. It didn't occur to me to test another browser when I first saw it, because I've never seen it happen on RedCafe, so I assumed he posted something so outrageous that it either got removed or he removed it himself. At least I got it half right.

I just don't get the point in posts like that. They're always simplistic and they're only ever going to antagonize whoever doesn't think exactly like you do.

I thought it was quite straight forward. While Israel invests in building concrete shelters to protect its citizens from rockets, Hamas is encouraging civilians to climb on top of buildings already designated for destruction by the IDF. The point of the illustration was to show this contrast.

Hizballah rockets cover the entire area of Israel, including Scuds with huge warheads. Israel was actually attacked from Lebanon in the last hour, but my bet is that it was Sunni/Palestinian terrorists rather than Hizballah. If Lebanon joins the party Israel is in for some nasty time, but I suggest you keep your kids away from the telly when pictures from Lebanon get to the news channels.

Terrorism this, terrorism that ! You are the true terrorists in the whole thing and I hope you have a taste of your own medicine in the coming days.

What benefit is it to Hamas to lob rockets into Israel when it is going to result in air strikes and a likely ground invasion that further ruins much of Gaza ?

Your intelligence is the most sophisticated in the world, great at false flags especially, don't worry about them Amir !

What were the benefits for resistants to fight Nazism in France in 1942 ? and attack the oppressor ? Double standards !

Let's focus on the here and now. What could Hamas realistically get out of this if Israel rolls in with tanks and disassembles much of their infrastructure ? They will get little or nothing relative to the price they will pay.

I know all about your hopes.

Really sad that people like yourself spend their life hating. Blind hate is what leaves ordinary Palestinians helpless to Israeli retaliation when the brave freedom fighters fire rockets at civilians and rush to their concrete shelters.

Any comment on Mushir Al-Masri's comments regarding the use of human shields in Gaza? I mean a few here didn't like the cartoon, only that Hamas spokesman essentially confirmed the use of the tactic.

BTW, could any one actually elaborate on how a man called Al-Masri is in fact a "Palestinian"? Anyone fluent in Arabic around here?
