This is another aspect of the information war that’s going on. The Israelis know allowing influencers and journalists to view the movie of Hamas GoPro footage will draw a visceral reaction resulting in those who have seen it turning into advocates, and it has.
Do you think it will come to the point that the footage will be released to the public?

I'm doubtful because it would lose its private screening value, which the Israelis are clearly benefiting from at the moment. Maybe if the small group screenings run their course, they might think it will benefit them for the world to see the footage. Then again, one could just as easily cobble together similar and more extensive footage of the carnage in Gaza, which isn't a contest the Israelis will want to be involved in.

2 kids survive an israeli airstrike. They are taken to the hospital. The girl shivers with fear. She turns around to see her younger brother also shivering. She leans towards him, gives him a kiss on the cheek and tells him it’s ok, then she moves away and continue shivering…

it is absolutely mental that the world sees this and decides not to stop this genocide.

Well not everyone, just look in this thread, you have a poster above quoting Chris fecking Cuomo who is saying "if anything, Israel is not doing enough".

The " Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem " released a twitter statement saying that two women were shot in cold blood as they entered the church in Gaza where most of the remaining Christians live. IDF tanks also blew up another building where apparently, disabled people were staying.
Statement here.

There is also a lot of noise, including a video report from the aftermath, of the IDF running over dying people/patients in tents with a bulldozer. Someone made a connection to "Rachel Corrie pancake parties" held by the IDF to commemorate their crushing of that American girl with a bulldozer.

Combined with the shooting of men holding a white flag, and the soldiers singing about "no uninvolveds", the last shreds of doubt about the nature of the Israeli ground campaign are gone.

The Pope called the attacks on the Church as terrorism.

A girl has been killed and at least three others wounded after an Israeli shelling targeted the maternity ward of the Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis.

Because of the Houthis threats in Bab el-Mandib 4 of the world’s 5 largest container-shipping companies, cma cgm, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk and msc, have paused or suspended their services in the Red Sea... Together these four companies account for 53% of the global container trade

Honestly, not even the dumbest are buying into this lately from what I can see. Israelis are probably sadly brainwashed. I cannot imagine how anyone could think that it's ok for civilians to be killed - and so horribly. I hope to God I never am that brainwashed.
Sadly, a lot of dumb people do believe it. Norway is generally very pro-Palestine (polls have 2/3 sympathising more with the Palestinians than the Israelis, while only 1/10 sympathise more with the Israelis), and the general sentiment is that Israel is using way too much force. But if you go to the primary Norwegian language subreddit, whenever the topic comes up anything that isn't explicitly pro-Israel gets downvoted to oblivion, and you're called a Jew-hater for saying you think Israel is more responsible than Hamas for the civilian death toll being as high as it is. Also tons of Islamophobia.

Yesterday there were big pro-Palestine demonstrations here, and in the thread covering it, several of the highest voted posts were straight up Islamophobic.

Obviously Reddit isn't going to be a representative sample of a given population, but it's surprising that they're that out of step with the average Norwegian.

Israel is facing enormous pressure for the current operation in Gaza, there is no way they will handle more pressure if they meddle in Lebanon. Plus, it's unlikely they can handle opening two fronts at the same time. It's not 1967.

Reddit is an echo Chamber for those who do not dare to show their true colours in public.

Email your MPs to ban British citizens from serving in the IDF.

That's what the US carrier group in the Mediterranean is there for - in case there are problems with Hezbollah. Just as similar ships are doing in the Red Sea to deal with the Houthis.

The university of Edinburgh issued a public apology to the Palestinian people for the Belfour's colonial legacy

Dr Gabor Mate mentioned the letter in an interview to al Jazeera

It isn't real.

Not fake as such, but "it is part of a dance theater piece by Farah Saleh, a Palestinian dancer and choreographer currently based in Scotland, the play is set in the year 2043 and the fictional apology was written in 2023 and presented to everyone in the audience last friday as part of of the performance"

What's even worse is that the far right loonies left and formed their own sub after the mods cracked down on their covid bullshit (I think), so these are supposedly the normal people who are left.

I suspect they're mostly the type of "enlightened centrist" who think Bill Maher is smart and offers good insights.

My mistake, I took Dr Mate's word for it.

I understand that they will show support. But there is now pressure on the Israelis from within the Biden administration already and they are sure behind the doors telling Netanyahu they can not keep cleaning after him. They probably mobilised they carriers to the med. sea as a protective measure, but I doubt the US will love to be involved if Israel messes up by starting an unnecessary war with Hizbollah.

100%. They are pressuring him to wrap up the bombings and move towards a counterinsurgency. Netanyahu knows he only has a limited amount of time before he hits a tipping point moment that estranges him beyond the point of no return with Biden (even though Biden will publicly still show support).

I really wouldn't pay the subreddit any mind. They are a lot of bots or whatever it's called and folks spreading propaganda in various places.

Hezbollah will kick their arses. They are far far superior to Hamas etc.

I don't know why I get a sneaky feeling that Israel/US want to provoke Iran? Aren't they the ones who back Hezbollah?

All I know is we have these old war hawks (Biden and Netanyahu) wanting to cause more grief for many more people.

Yes, agree.

I've no skin in the game apart from being a fellow human but that is horrendous. Essentially saying ethnic cleansing and colonisation is fine so don't complain about it.

He's pretty awful on this issue. I saw an argument he had once with a journalist who was pretty level headed on the issue but pointed out that Israel has committed war crimes in the past and Maher just shrugged and said "Well, all war is a crime."

Hizbollah are no pushovers. They have like 100k mix of rockets and missiles. But I doubt the US will want to provoke a new war no matter how hard Netanyahu would love the US to be involved in a northern front. This means more international backlash and far more economic challenges for both the US and Israel.

See I'm not so sure. The American government is moving real strange. It's full steam ahead for Biden no matter how awful things get and most of world being pro ceasefire.
I don't know if it's because he's surrounded by committed Zionists in his administration? Let's face it, they are not acting in any way rational at the moment. They continuously put out shit propaganda, and commit heinous crimes and sometimes brag about it, and still expect the majority to support them. That's the height of madness right there..

Honestly I think Netanyahu wants the war to continue for now so he can turn things around for himself politically. Unfortunately both sides have leaders mostly interested in maintaining power.

The US has always backed Israel regardless of the rest of the world's opinion and Biden isn't doing anything different from his predecessors.

Starting an actual war with Iran, either directly or indirectly via Israel, would be far too costly and be of very little benefit to the US, so doubt that will happen.

Where to begin with this?

Muslims are the ONLY ones who paid tax. 2.5% of their entire wealth and assets.

Non Muslims paid Jizyah. This amounts to less than £20 per annum today. The elderly, infirm, women, children, unemployed and those serving in the armed forces don't pay.

Converting back is not punishable by death. There is no compulsion in faith. One of Muhammad's wife's ex husband went back to Christianity. He was not killed. The only ones killed are those who convert and cause " great mischief". So for example aid the enemy or treason if you will.
.. come malaysia and have a look. In fact, go any muslim country and see how that pans out for you.

What?

hamas, a Iran funded terrorist group attacks Israel.

Then there has been 87 attacks on U.S based since the attack.

It’s Iran poking the US. It’s a proxy war.
