Elon Musk Met With Iran’s U.N. Ambassador, Iranian Officials Say
Elon Musk, a close adviser to President-elect Donald J. Trump, met with Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations on Monday in New York in a session that two Iranian officials described as a discussion of how to defuse tensions between Iran and the United States.
The Iranians said the meeting between Mr. Musk and Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani lasted more than an hour and was held at a secret location. The Iranians, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss policy publicly, described the meeting as “positive” and “good news.”

Does anyone else smell a coup?
Might be ideal scenario but on the other hand imagine how much the right would flip out if Dems, especially those without official government positions would have all the secret meetings with hostile nations like Trump's folks do. There was a lot more of that back in the first term and we haven't even started the second one yet.

I certainly would like to see a change in the Iranian regime but not brought about by the most dangerous psychopath(s) on the planet.

That was reported at the time. In addition to the ballistic missile supply chain they hit a compression chamber that was key to the nuclear program.

It was more likely symbolic than strategic. The bigger news imo is that all the S300 batteries were destroyed and the F35s completely evaded them. Iran is now totally defenceless against Israeli aircraft.

Funny, i came across this a bit earlier:

I've been a decades long reader and big fan of Haaretz. The courage and tenacity of its journalists is more than praiseworthy, especially in the current climate.

Haaretz always has been a voice in the wilderness but it never stopped shouting.

Israel PM Netanyahu told parliament:Israel will continue to operate militarily against Hezbollah even if a ceasefire deal is reached in Lebanon." Most important is not [the deal that] will be laid on paper. We will be forced to ensure our security in the north [of Israel] and to systematically carry out operations against Hezbollah's attacks even after a ceasefire to keep group from rebuilding its forces”

The Lebanese army where soldiers get killed can't fight back because the US bankroll them.

Israeli-Moldovan rabbi living in UAE is missing. Israeli officials fear he may have been kidnapped
An Israeli-Moldovan rabbi living in the United Arab Emirates has gone missing, with Israeli authorities raising the suspicion Saturday he may have been kidnapped as tensions remain high with Iran.
While the Israeli statement did not mention Iran, Iranian intelligence services have carried out past kidnappings in the UAE.

Western officials believe Iran runs intelligence operations in the UAE and keeps tabs on the hundreds of thousands of Iranians living across the country.

An Israeli man who went missing in the United Arab Emirates has been found murdered, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said, denouncing his death as a “heinous antisemitic terrorist act”, Reuters reports.

“The state of Israel will use all means at its disposal to bring the criminals responsible for his death to justice,” the prime minister’s statement said.

Netanyahu's 'representatives' in the media and social networks have started talking about how a ceasefire is the right thing, so I guess this could be happening.
