The US know exactly what they're doing.Obama reportedly planning to supply 500m dollars to arm the opposition in Syria. Is this serious? Have America learnt nothing? Those weapons will end up in the hands of extremists, regardless of any background checks they are claiming to undertake before giving any weapons.
They should fund the YPG instead, they're fighting both the terrorists and Assad.
Yeah that won't happen though will it.Or they can just keep their beaks out for once?
The US don't want to fight the terrorists. They should fund the YPG instead, they're fighting both the terrorists and Assad.

"spread freedom and democracy"What do they want then Danny ?
They will fail. The Iraqi army is moving closer to Tikrit...
No wonder Obama is rushing to get $500million worth of aid to the Rebel terrorists in Syria. Can't have a stabilised Iraq-Levant can we now.

I thought Iran was the one supporting him?Expect Maliki to get the boot fairly soon. Sistani has more or less pulled his support.

Sistani doesn't endorse or oppose any politicians. He never supported Maliki in the first place to pull his support now, and he didn't "pull" anything now either.
Maliki might very well end up handing his position to somebody else in his party though.
This is politics. Of course political foes will clash with each other to get the maximum political gains (especially in a parliamentary system), and will take any chance to put forward their own representatives. There is nothing strange about that, and it just proves that Maliki didn't rule in a sectarian way.It just underscores how broad opposition is to him. He's alienated a large chunk of the Shi'a base that previously supported him, and as such, is likely to not be PM for much longer.

Maliki still has (by far) the biggest bloc in the parliament (with 95 seats, 60+ seats more than the nearest bloc), and in the end his party will still get the PM position, most probably.
The country is "going tits up" because some countries have decided that filling Syria with terrorists is the best way to stabilise the region and spread freedom and democracy. That means feck all when the country is going tits up.

There are political differences in every country in the world, but that is no excuse or justification for terrorism, otherwise, we can find an excuse for every single terrorist attack in the world.
He's a bit of an isolationist like his Dad. His other policies are Tea Party quality.
This caliphate thing is going to collapse quicker than Liverpool.

I have established a domain over my bedroom. I just have to find some people with black flags and masks to declare it on Youtube.
