Isco probably means him in Hindi.

Roughly translate to , At least sign him up Fergie.

Two Indians at a cricket match were talking of the presence of Indians all over the world.

One asks the other:" Where dont you find Indians?"

A Pakistani seated behind them quips: "In heaven"

I'd counter that Nani will never be a CAM

I agree but we already have Kagawa for that role who is a natural at it. Rooney has some flaws when playing there but still gets us loads of goals from there. Giggs is an option as well as he can be quite brilliant at opening defences up. So I'm putting Nani up for the position in the same way as Young has played there before - as someone who can "do a job" there. We don't really need our 4th choice guys in that position to be natural playmakers.

I think it's needed but if you can't hit a home run with a player like that, you bolster your squad according to it's strengths - although I don't necessarily understand stockpiling wing players...Still, Kagawa will help solve a lot of questions for the attack...I think missing out on Oscar will continue to be a bitter pill, much more than Hazard was for many fans here

Why is it needed though? Kagawa is a natural in linking play between midfield and attack. Why would we spend more on getting two players to do one job in the same summer? We could do with it but it's hardly a need.

I just think Kagawa is more of a link as you say than a natural CAM, that's why he's best utilized in the hole...You'll still need a deep lying playmaker and with the market as thin as it has been, Oscar wouldn't have been a bad option I thought

I just don't know that more wingers is a solution

We're not really going to play a proper CAM the way you see in Spain. It's not how we roll. Kagawa is the kind of half CAM half CF that Fergie likes. One who is creative, a crisp passer but also gets goals.

And yes, for me, while I'm perfectly fine with that decision but I think ideally it would be complimented with someone in midfield who can run the game. But then that person needs to be able to defend as well (a bit like Alonso). Can Oscar defend? Isn't he a proper number 10 rather than a deep lying playmaker who can tackle like Pirlo?

I don't think you'll find anyone here who thinks Lucas is the kind of player we need the most. We clearly need a central midfielder more than anything. I think the Lucas potential signing seems to have nothing to do with what Fergie thinks about the midfield. He seems to have his opinion on our midfield and players like Lucas and Hazard are filling another need he feels is there.

Not like our CAM but like a Scholes or Pirlo, sure

I agree...Can Oscar defend?...I'm not sure, he's hard to evaluate as a player because he's had so much controversy surrounding his ascent...There's something there, I think...I just think if you're going to gamble on a talent for that sort of position, not sure there's anyone else I'd rate higher for his age

You don't mean that you see Hazard & Lucas as similar players do you?...I definitely don't...Thing is, Lucas is an exciting player, there's no denying that but he's simply depth at a position you're already strong in, IMHO...Of course, perhaps Cleverley will become the player many believe he can be

Yup.

High praise. Anyway that boat has sailed. Hope he isn't as good as that for Chelsea.

Similar in that, from what I've read and heard, they both seem to be gifted dribblers. I think Hazard is supposed to be more complete with an eye for a pass and likes to play centrally whereas Lucas is basically more of a wide man. But I do think Fergie has identified the need for someone who can run at defenders and is comfortable doing so at pace. Basically someone who can give us a bit of an extra edge in opening up teams with flair.

As for the need for Lucas, it might sound like another wide player, but we don't have many players who are good in tight spaces. Nani is probably right up there with the best dribblers bar Messi and Kagawa has a good touch but that's about it. Out of the rest noone can particularly manipulate the ball brilliantly in tight spaces. So I won't be against us getting someone who is a gifted dribbler.

He has talent no doubt about it, I've been saying for a few years that he has the quality to play for the Spanish national team. However I'm not sure how much football he'd get competing with Nani, Valencia and Kagawa specifically and most likely having first team chances would be important to him if he leaves his hometown club he only joined a year ago.

Still if he is good enough he'll force his way in as Young did a lot last season. We play so many games I don't think having an extra player who is versatile and good on the ball would hurt us, we aren't overstocked yet.

Even if Isco turns out to be a shite player, he'll always be a total legend for inspiring what was perhaps the greatest joke ever told.

I'm still not certain whether Cider's being serious or not.

A good rule of thumb would be to assume in all cases that I'm not serious, and then to only veer from that estimation if sufficient evidence to the contrary presents itself.
