This shite is coming back isn’t it?
Unless the pl clubs find a way of circumventing pl and fa rules then no, there is no super league without the pl clubs, Bundesliga or the French clubs. This shite is coming back isn’t it?

Well, the my have ruled that FIFA and UEFA can not restrict clubs from entering, providing back up to any body saying FA etc can’t block clubs also.Unless the pl clubs find a way of circumventing pl and fa rules then no, there is no super league without the pl clubs, Bundesliga or the French clubs.
Exactly. No surprise really. You don’t go through with an idea like that unless you’re 100 % sure the law is in your favor. It was the fan backlash that throw the project down the toilet, not any of the empty threats from UEFA/FIFA.
And given how UEFA have allowed the state backed clubs to do as they wish I don't think the backlash will be that strong when it's next announced. I could be wrong but this is essentially what the Glazers have been holding out for and being in at the start gives them a say in the revenue sharing formula. They have the balls, the resources and the motivation to take the FA and PL to court and win.No surprise really. But the pl does, also guessing eu courtWell, the my have ruled that FIFA and UEFA can not restrict clubs from entering, providing back up to any body saying FA etc can’t block clubs also.
I can see a situation where one fights it then another, FA wouldn’t have a leg to stand on to block them essentially.
Probably nothing for the time being honestly. I said it in the past but an actual SuperLeague would have to come at the expense of domestic football. You can't just add a 20/30 games competition to the calendar, the CL going from 13 to 15/17 is already pissing players offSo what's next now?

Probably the Glazers doing a u-turn and stalling even more then they are nowSo what's next now?
No way any team with even semi competent set of lawyers agrees to a binding agreement with no get out clauses. It could probably enable the super league to sue teams that entered and then backed away after fan backlash for breach of contract.

Mostly they need to find a way to chip away at domestic football. Give financial incentives to abolish the domestic cups for one thing, and if possible reduce the number of top flight teams to no more than 18. No supercups, no club world cups or other bullshite like that, just 34 league games plus another 30 SuperLeague games or so3-5 years of the new CL format so people get used to it and then return of the ESL I reckon.
But the pl, fa and the government can. No court is going to agree with Perez and co that united or city or liverpool should risk getting punished by the British government to take part in their venture and the government statements and the independent regulator rules do give the pl clubs that defense. Now that I read more, it seems like UEFA and FIFA cannot block their member clubs from participating in the super league. So clubs have no excuse other than that they jumped the gun in signing up without accounting for fan anger. It’ll probably be a decent settlement.
The fans won't move from a corrupt system to a completely and utterly corrupt one.And given how UEFA have allowed the state backed clubs to do as they wish I don't think the backlash will be that strong when it's next announced. And of course the Superleague would *have* to be based on meritocracy. And open to all european FAs. Anything less is going to suffer too much backlash in places like England and Germany to work

Because it essentially breaks the football pyramid and just throws in a few sides with football heritage into one competition. That's not what football is about, they're turning it into some overly commercialised bollocks which won't be accepted by fans irrespective of how uefa and fifa are.Why would it be more corrupt than what we’re subjected to under UEFA and FIFA?
FIFA were quite happy to royally feck over most leagues in regards to moving the world cup
Or you can pretty much ignore Real Madrid / Barca v Juve / Inter Milan and Ajax like everyone else will??I know I am only one fan, but personally I am just done with football if this happens.
A lot of people won't. It's like the whole boycotting Qatar world cup all over again.Or you can pretty much ignore Real Madrid / Barca v Juve / Inter Milan and Ajax like everyone else will??
It’ll be more people than you think. La Liga couldn’t even get a tv contract in the UK for El Classico anymore.A lot of people won't. It's like the whole boycotting Qatar world cup all over again.
Doesn't really matter. La liga made its bed, the PL is where it's at and that's been the case for some time. However Global views would probably be the same or rise with an ESL with all of the social media brainwashed generations getting to see Bellingham vs Mbappe on the regular. It’ll be more people than you think. La Liga couldn’t even get a tv contract in the UK for El Classico anymore.
This would be like fans getting excited for those pre season friendlies with the big games we see every summer. If there’s no history behind the competition and it’s only about clubs getting paid more money then it’s dead in the water, especially if they’re still allowed to compete in the CL .
How is it good news? You can't seriously be in favour of this shite are you?Good news, isn't it?
Wonder if this is why the Glazers are taking so long, to see how this ruling went and see how it plays out
