enjoyed that interview immensely
The interviewed needed to just say "cry more".
enjoyed that interview immensely
Why quote me, if your answer doesn't relate to what I'm saying? If he does that, something else would be created.
He didn't win by bringing a team from lower division to win the CL, he had to buy players why can't he homegrow everyone
Not called Peptide Pep for no reasonWhat a vile thourally dislikable man he is, he refused to give us any credit in his post match interview.
He always looks like he is in drugs as well.
Anything will be held against him if you are determined enoughWhy quote me, if your answer doesn't relate to what I'm saying?
He will need GLP1 Peptides by the looks of it.Not called Peptide Pep for no reason
What a vile thourally dislikable man he is, he refused to give us any credit in his post match interview.
He always looks like he is high on drugs as well.
She asks him where he thinks it went wrong and is greeted with an exaggerated shoulder-shrug. “Went wrong?” he repeats. “We lost the game and congratulations Man United. It was a tight game and after we concede a goal and in the second half, after the first five or 10 minutes we had the chances and we change our pace up front … mumble, mumble, mumble … and congratulations to Man United.”
Asked if he feels United were the better team, he shakes his head and says “No.” He goes on to explain that it was simply a case of City not taking their chances.
Who was that guy all over Pep consoling him when giving out the losers medals, was it some city rep or someone part of the FA?
Bit salty, but congratulated us. Meh
Khaldoon I think
Makes sense being on the other side of Sir Jim
What I said in the quoted post is that things are held against the goat claim not the person, and that any goat claim for any manager would have to face the respective managers shortcomings. More something to do with the idiocy of goat claims than anything else. There is no goat.Anything will be held against him if you are determined enough
When he was at Barcelona it was that he can't survive outside LA Masia ecosystem
Let him come and prove himself in England, now he's dominating England the goalpost has shifted
Absolutely. They looked uncharacteristically bad. But we performed fantastically, it’s probably the best we’ve played all season.City were never winning this game with Pep in a suit. That looked odd enough.
First defeat for him in domestic final in England so great that we've managed it.
Yeah, highlight of the season (followed by 4-3 win vs Liverpool). Not many good moments other than that.Absolutely. They looked uncharacteristically bad. But we performed fantastically, it’s probably the best we’ve played all season.
This is his first domestic cup final loss in England.Yeah, highlight of the season (followed by 4-3 win vs Liverpool). Not many good moments other than that.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but is this only 2nd time Pep lost a domestic cup final, first being 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in extra time back ni 2011? Also only lost another final vs Chelsea in 2021 CL final.
In England definitely, just not sure has he lost in Spain and Germany other than that time in 2011.This is his first domestic cup final loss in England.
When was the last domestic cup final loss for City? 2015?
I looked it up on Wikipedia and it turns out that this is indeed Pep’s first domestic cup final loss since 2011.In England definitely, just not sure has he lost in Spain and Germany other than that time in 2011.
City's last loss in domestic cup final was 2013 vs Wigan.
Between 54th and 64th minute they had 3 big chances: Haaland hitting the bar, Onana saving Walker's long range shot and Alvarez missing that big chance. But other than that period I think we didn't let them many chances. And the way they (and we) played first half, we deserved the win yesterday.Asked if he feels United were the better team, he shakes his head and says “No.” He goes on to explain that it was simply a case of City not taking their chances.
Anyone seen a clip of this bit that can be shared. Absolutely loved it, reminded me of Kevin
Keegan.
Dry em
I know mate, watched the game yesterday . The response I quoted made me laugh so much this morning when I was watching the reply that I would like for posterity!!Between 54th and 64th minute they had 3 big chances: Haaland hitting the bar, Onana saving Walker's long range shot and Alvarez missing that big chance. But other than that period I think we didn't let them many chances. And the way they (and we) played first half, we deserved the win yesterday.
After our fantastic FA Cup win it further cemented my mind that Pep is the most over rated Manger of all time.
Imo the most defensive minded Manger out there. How do you have 72% possesion and only have 5 shots on net. We had 28% possession and managed 6. I don't buy that we parked the bus or had a low block or whatever their excuse is and that's why. Let's face it Pep's team passes the ball around until they can pick the perfect pass to finally get that shot on net. Backwards and sideways are more the norm then forward. For every pass forward there is 10 sideways and back.
But how effective is that tactic when you have less shots on net and 72% possesion? Seems like it's defensive. Alot of Time wasting in there. Add to that that you need all the best players in the world and you got to wonder, is Pep really that great of a manager?
I think that's it exactly. Because he has such good players at his disposal in every position, with backups just as capable he can play his same old same old. Plan A. Which is dominate possesion. (How can you not dominate possesion when you have always had the best team and players) Keep passing the ball around until their is a opening or the opponent makes a mistake.I'd hate it if my team played like that. There's no risk, no excitement.
He buys the best players in the world so of course they're going to dominate. But it's just so dull.
Such a sore loser
When were united underdogs?Sir Alex is the best manager of all time.
He's done both tasks of getting an underdog punching almost comically above their weight and setting/maintaining the standards at a juggernaut.
Pep has only done 1 of those.
I assume he is referring to Aberdeen. When were united underdogs?
There is of course no objective best ever. Football management has way too many variants and different approaches to how to do the job. The requirements and job descriptions are different from country to country. What different cultures and clubs prioritze and look at varies greatly also. That's not even getting into the specific conditions of each era. Management and coaching are abstract and rely on a lot of things that can't be measured concretely. Trophies and statistics are reliant on so many other factors than the quality of the manager alone.I just feel like if he's the best ever, I should enjoy watching his teams play more than I do.
City didn’t have anywhere near this level of dominance with Mancini and Pellegrini. Why is he considered a success at City? Like they don't want him to ever leave. League win is expected with that squad. Only one CL in 8 seasons and choking so many times shouldn't be viewed as a success. No CL with a super Bayern team either.
To be fair to him nobody won that many BL titles in a row before, not even with Bayern. Usually Bayern won one or two titles and then somebody else won the next. Always somebody else, between 2003 and 2013 (the decade before he arrived) we saw Bremen, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Dortmund (2x) win the league. Not dropping a level in the league was new and special. Although I fully agree on him failing in Europe with them.On Bayern he did what every other manager had done, won everything domestically but failed in Europe.
