I voted yes when the poll was put up and see no reason to change it now.
A big fat no.
A club legend wouldn't have said he feels like a slave to stay at his club in order to leave and give his best years to another club he loves. Cristiano clearly loves and cares about Real Madrid more than any other club including Manchester United. I don't even think he wants to be seen as a United legend. He'll probably want people to associate him with Real Madrid and remember him as a Madrid legend.
He's a great player who played for United. Not a United great.
If you consider Beckham a Real Madrid legend than yes, he is..
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that he's with us again, but aligning him with Best, Charlton, Beckham and Cantona can't be right.
George Best, the alcoholic womanizer? The wife beater? He has admitted his guilt and is wanted in the US, but yeah, let's say it's moronic. He played for Man United and called himself a slave, but if you think that makes you a legend, it's okay, it's up to you. In my world, that doesn't make you a legend, neither does wanting to go to City, and I don't care if he had no other choice (although he had, like staying at the biggest club in Italy, I guess that's being a slave too). He's an egomaniac, spoiled brat, and should in no sense be named in the same breath as Bobby Charlton, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, George Best or even Eric Cantona.
Hes said many good things though, so you have to choose 1 side of him. He's either this or that.I wouldn't ever consider him a United legend. He forced a move to Real when he finally came good, we were just a stepping stone for his career. He would have moved a year earlier if it weren't for Sir Alex.
He's had legendary career but will be remembered in the white of Real far more than United.
The whole idea of he's coming home is absurd, he always complained about the weather and couldn't wait to go to Madrid.
Given he's one of the best and most serial winners across sports, and is choosing to come to a club that hasn't won a league title in 8 years, I'd say he wants to be seen as a United legend.I don't even think he wants to be seen as a United legend. He'll probably want people to associate him with Real Madrid and remember him as a Madrid legend.
I disagree with this. Ronaldo doesn't have allegiance to any club. From the various things people have said about him, based on what he says, based on his emotions, it seems he is only in it entirely for himself and if someone joins him along for the ride then he welcomes then until he becomes selfish and its time to move on from them.A big fat no.

It's football....Ronaldo doesn't understand emotion from anothers perspective, he doesn't understand the lives attached to his, and he doesn't feel an obligation to cater to anyone else's feelings if he doesn't feel comfortable.
Hes human, and football is apart of lives. His character reflects intk everything he does. Football isn't an external factor. It's football....
Right now it is too early to call
The bloke is here for 2 more years at least.Ronaldo has won everything at United. He was the catalyst and star player of our most dominant era. He was the best player in the world here. He has more trophies and spent more time here than Cantona.

Out of interest, are you counting 06/07 or 08/09 as the half ?One of our greatest ever players. One of my favourite players ever to watch. But not a club legend for me. We only really got two and a half great seasons out of him and he took his peak to another club.
2006-2009 wasn't our most dominant era.
He was also worse than Nani for half of his time here during his first spell.

Yes he is, if only because so many people think he is.
But he is not a legend in the order of Best, Law, Charlton and Cantona. Nobody on the planet can say those four are not legends and their legendary status is set in stone.
Ronaldo was our most important player in one of our greatest teams, scored for us in a CL final that we went on to win and was decisive in many crucial games. And he scored memorable goals of every kind for us. I’m pretty shocked there is anyone who says he is not a legend but I don’t take them seriously.

I didn’t look at the dateJesus man I don't remember what I was thinking when I said that 6 years ago!
I've obviously completely changed my opinion since yesterday!

I saw the quote and was wondering did I have more pints than I thought last night!
For the record I always thought his 06/07 season was better than 08/09, even though I think he scored several more goals in the latter. I thought 06/07 he had an incredible blend of entertainment and end product, an amazing winger, 08/09 statistically better and scored several screamers but his overall game play lacked something I think. I wonder am I making him personify my overall view of those seasons where we were better in 08/09 but less entertaining. 07/08 a perfect hybrid.I saw the quote and was wondering did I have more pints than I thought last night!

Yup, this is his first real test.I voted nope and still say nope.
If we get to the end of the season and let's say we see Ronaldo on the Old Trafford pitch handing the Premier League trophy to Sir Alex during some celebrations, maybe I would contemplate changing my vote.
