I also love how he said thousands of American troops were killed because of money given to Iran by the previous administration and then going on to say tens of thousands (?!) of ISIS were killed at his direction. Wtf. Can he ever not exagerate?

Considering all he said was "I just had a huge triumph and killed a bad man and that's a great thing with no consequences and the reason Iran are bad is because of Obama and the military is great because of me and the country is doing great because of me".

I reckon this is all posturing from the Trump Admin. They made the first move, Iran retaliated. They know they don't have the backing of the purse strings of the House and they can't agitate further right now with any military actions so they are hitting them with sanctions and imploring that the other members of the Iran deal do the same. It's turning the screw on Iran who they know without the Iran deal will say "feck you, we obviously need Nukes to sit at the same table as you guys" and continue down that path which is exactly what the Trump Admin want as it will turn public opinion towards military action and he will get the bipartisan backing for the war he's so desperate for, just before the elections.

Iran needs to urgently get nukes, or hope that a real non-confrontationist (like Sanders) wins the next election. There is no way that the US under Trump for another 5 years won't attack them *.
Alternately, they could do a regime change, and be nice guys. Or just be B_F_F with Israel. Heck, a 180 degree in change of relations with Israel will make Iran's the chosen one in the Middle East, though it will probably be the end of their regime.
