India vs NZ

Could be a decent test match this...

Is the pitch doing enough for NZ to roll you for 150?

Probably the max lead they will get anyway.

Very good session from the Kiwis, both batters have been patient and played well in the 250+ run stand. Another excellent innings from the captain.

India still have plenty of time to get the win but they need to break this partnership soon.

Dhoni's comments to Jadeja

Brilliant knock from McCullum, poor bastard looks like he's about to collapse. Fantastic concentration from both these batsman, 300 runs now between them in this stand.

I'm sorry, that ball from Khan.

'All right, the off-side is packed, better bowl on McCullum's pads, he definitely won't work me into the leg side'

The entire bowling unit ought to be sacked.

There'll be some guy like The Man Himself attributing this inevitable series loss to the batting's inability to play swing/bounce in 2 years time.

All losses involve 20 batting wickets lost. All wins involve 20 wickets taken by the bowling. Therefore, all losses are due to batsmen and all wins due to bowlers.

TMH just has weird cricketing views. Zaheer and Ishant should be shown the door. The problem is that their replacements won't do well either.

Man, ishant averages 32 in first class cricket. There are about 40 players who've done better than that this season.

He's never averaged less than 32 in a calendar year while playing for India.

In his fabled breakthrough tour of Australia where he got ponting out a couple of times, he averaged 60.

He's been dining out on myths for way too long. I know there are only 120k trundlers in the wings but at least give them a chance.
Hell, we might've made proper bowlers out of yadav or aaron if given so many chances.

There's a guy in u19. Chama Milind. Genuinely believe he's capable of being very good. Left arm and bowls upwards of 135 with good control.

Speaking of which, where is Yadav? Is he injured? Its a shame Kumar can only bowl with the new ball.

@zing You have missed my point altogether always. Maybe one last time I will explain. Bowling has never been India's strong point and without that domination like Australia did or West Indies had before is impossible. That said, overseas there have been instances where we have lost matches because of batting. Sure, batting will fail once in a while, and that is acceptable but they have failed on some crucial moments, barring which maybe India could ahve had couple of memorable series win overseas.
You can keep on banging drum about bowling losing previous test, but batting were equally responsible. It is laughable when biased people like you say that because bowlers conceded so much we lost. No we didn't. Collapsing for 200 is equally bad. Had India scored 350 in first inning, they could have won.

fecking incompetent cnuts. feck off.

England fans moaning about their team can have a look at these cnuts here.

'chaar dham ki yatra' before world cup and first 2 have been disappointing/failures regardless of what happens in this test. It will be bit harsh to call SA tour failure but in the end, 2-0 ODI loss and 1-0 test loss is not exactly a success. Last 'dham' will be fun if Johnson maintains his form.

feck sake this bowling

Regardless of the performances in individual games, not winning a single game on a tour of NZ is piss poor.

Zaheer and Ishant to be replaced by Bhuvi and Yadav respectively for England. Can't do any worse.

I'm not even reading this post.

Poor stuff. And this is what I meant earlier that you simply can not win tests without a bowling line up that can take 20 wickets. Our batting has had two collapses in last 4 overseas matches. That is acceptable IMO.

You also have to give credit to NZ batter. No matter how flat the pitch and poor a bowling attack. You need immense concentration to bat for this length of time.

The pitch is absolutely dead in fairness and Watling and McCullum have batted with insane concentration. I'm not sure there's many bowlers that could extract anything from this pitch.

Our bowling

Wouldn't surprise if we found a way to lose this one as well.

As flat as the pitch is, this is a remarkable effort from New Zealand. Brilliant from McCullum & Watling and then Neesham adding valuable runs.

I wonder if they'll declare tomorrow or just continue batting as long as possible?

I have seen 'absolutely dead' pitches way too many times when India are bowling that coincidentally come to life when the opposition start to bowl.

Problem is who captains then? Kohli isn't read. DK isn't a test keeper and Sanju Samson is too young. Dhoni will do all 3 formats as long as the WC, and will be in the team as long as he wants if Srinivasan is President.

Well it's high time we need to try someone young. Kohli would be the preferred choice.

How much worse can it get, though? I've forgotten the last time we have won a test outside India. And we threw two massive opportunities witht he AB-Faf partnership and now this to win thanks to some disgraceful captaincy. Yeah obviously our bowling isn't match winning either but that's another issue.

8-0 alone would have sacked the captain and manager had it been any other country but it has gone beyond that now. This series should really be what it takes to change the leadership in the team and try someone new even if he doesn't scream of a great captain because what we currently have is nowhere near someone that it needs to be someone awesome to replace him.
