India vs England

Shocker of a last session for England, Broad looks horrific.

India's day in the end, but i'm not sure it's as big a turning wicket as its being made out.

Although if England continue to bat like idiots against spin, then India's score barely matters.

Just caught the highlights. This is the most I've seen a day 1 pitch turn in a pretty long while.

Hopefully Finn is fit for the next test so we can finally get around to dropping Broad.

Ashwin and Pujara are two immense finds by India. Wondered if India would struggle in tests following the departure of the old guard but that certainly isn't happening. Coping with change a heck of a lot better than the Aussies did.

Pujara's been scoring buckets of runs in first-class cricket. Came with a reputation. Ashwin.. I don't think he's a long term answer to anything in test cricket. Quality in limited overs.

We have Rahane and Rohit, two very, very talented players waiting to come in. I think test cricket fans of other countries will be quite jealous when they see how we end up replacing Laxman, Sachin and Dravid.

Pujara's technique is flawless. I'm not exaggerating but in this series, I don't think I've seen him even give a chance to the English Bowlers.

Not sure how long we could bear Gambhir's pathetic form, particularly since we've got someone like Rahane waiting in the wings.

This game is over, imo. Another 50 runs and England are out of it. Pujara doesn't look like he's going to get out.. 50 runs should be easy.

I don't think its over by any stretch of imagination though India do have the advantage.

Maybe if there's a Pietersen masterclass or something. Cook's like the boy on the burning deck, at the moment.

Ashwin goes.

Pujara should've gone by now actually. Was plumb to Anderson in the 2nd over.

Harbhajan's in. Forgot that he's in this match.

We would have to bowl really bad and the English have to bat very well for them to get over 200 runs on this wicket.

Would love to see KP come out and counter attack. Afternoon session has potential to be awesome.

And he goes. More due to the situation down to anything else, you'd think. Well played.

Pujara scores another 100.

A poster in the crowd summed it up well.

"Another wall under construction"

Whats the perception of Pujara?

Dravid was pretty much ungettoutable (thats a word now, deal with it) in any conditions (I think his average is actually higher outside India than in it) will Pujara deal well with fast, bouncy pitches or is there a feeling that he's going to struggle outside of India?

Well don't think India have been bowling that badly and England have been playing well.

I saw yesterdays highlights and game this morning, it was turning pretty sharply. I don't know what happened. Well done to the English, have made me eat a crow.

His technique, temperament and footwork is better than any other Indian batsmen in the team (excluding Tendulkar, though he is diminishing force). No one can be certain on how he is going to do but so far on evidence he looks like a good bet.

Told everyone this wicket wasn't a minefield!

C'mon England.

Watching tests in India seems more taxing than usual. When we were #1, someone would pull a rabbit out of somewhere, but these 2 teams bowling on this pitch is tedious

Still think the match is even. Our lot can bat and England's are heavily reliant on Cook.

Ashwin and Harbhajan have been fecking shit.

Yea. Ashwin's bowling awful.

Never a fan of left arm spinners, but this is cracking stuff from Ojha.

We need to wrap this up quick. A lead of 100 will be too many.

btw.. what do you think of Dhoni?

He's generally effective in Indian conditions even in tests, but is there any other player in the world who gets away with being completely shit for so long?

Seriously. Why does no one ever talk about Dhoni? His keeping is shit, his batting is wank.

Don't rate his captaincy, don't rate his batting. His wicketkeeping is good though. Other options like Karthik, Patel should be tested out in tests.

This ought to be Harbhajan's last test. We should have never played 2 spinners anyway IMO, Yuvraj bowls more attacking line than Bhajji now. Use him for 10 overs if you want more spin options.

His keeping's good to spinners and awful when we travel when the ball moves.

We're bowling too many bad balls.

I'd love to see this lot wrapped up in another 40 minutes. I really want to see us bat and tomorrow's a weekday.

KP, Cook and Prior are the only 3 players worth their places in the England team.

Very handy lead for England. This is not supposed to have happened.

that was like lemmings off a cliff..

well done.

I'd fancy our chances.

Viva el revolucion! In Che we trust.

This lead of 86 could prove vital. Sachin will have to finally join the party.

Expected much worse. Last 5 wickets went for just 31 runs. Need a Sehwag quickfire.

England strong, strong favourites now.

I've put some money on the win.

I would've waited another 3 hours.

It depends on the number of wickets we have when we make up the deficit.
