India vs England

England starting well this time.

4 tests of watching England play spin like this is awful. I am already bored of this.

England fans must have felt the same way during our last tour to England, just with the way we were playing the fast/seam bowling instead. It's funny how at the moment both sides are completely clueless in foreign conditions.

And wow, Sehwag's bald patch has really come a long way!

How on earth did Cook survive that?
Good batting from England. They can still save the match. The pitch doesn't look bad.

Couple of wickets in the morning and the demons in the pitch would reappear. England have done well. Were bound to have a session to their name. Would most likely be over by tomorrow and we shouldn't have to bat again.

Depressingly predictable.

A hundred run opening stand doesn't mask the fact we look fecking spineless again.

Cook will be our top run scorer in this series by an embarrassing margin. Only world class batsmen we have.

Anyone else watching when Dhoni was trying to bully Aleem Dar?

Dhoni seems like a nice guy but every once in a while he acts like a complete cock.

Based on my quick maths, Ian Bell averages 27.75 in 32 innings on the Sub-Continent (I took out Bangladesh).

Pietersen's at 38 in 25 innings I think. Cook's by far the best on the Sub-Continent but he's never played in Pakistan.

Tony Hill is like a huge point in argument for DRS.

why is there no hawkeye for these tests? Has Hawkeye been dropped for test cricket?

That Samit Patel wicket was so wrong. Could sense it even in real time. Was passing down leg side plus he also got a nick.

Good comeback by England. Makes a mockery of those retards who claimed this was an unplayable pitch etc etc.

It's still doing nothing.. very decent chance of a draw.

Oh India! We never seem to do anything easy.

Enforcing the follow on after being on the field for 75 overs was never a good idea. As I mentioned before we should have scored another 150 runs, given our batters practice, tire the English players mentally and physically and then should have had a go at them on a even more deteriorating pitch with fresh bowlers. Now we have been on the field for more than 200 overs in warm conditions.

We still should be able to wrap this up tomorrow but giving them confidence can prove to be detrimental going ahead in the series.

I thought Fletcher was a good coach but we seem to have lost direction since the departure of Gary. He was one of the best things to happen to Indian cricket, ever.

Not sure why India are so worried. If they break this partnership which shouldn't be overly difficult as Prior isn't one that sticks around after a day break and then you are into the tail. I would be surprised if England get more than 150 lead and that should be ok enough for India to get in a session.

Still unlikely we'll save this text, but the lack of complete humiliation means there are semblance's of optimism going into the rest of the series.

Cook's record already suggests he is one of the finest English batsmen ever, how much more does he have to do to become the best?

At his current rate, his stats will far surpass anyone else by the time his career ends.
A player for every condition.

watched the entire Cook/Prior partnership. Fantastic batting. Made India's bowling attack look vety ordinary.

Cook is a legend (a la Dravid) in the making.

think England could get a draw.

Without doubt the best batsman England have produced IMO and I think by the time he retires in many years time he will go down as one of the all time greatest test batsman. Just a very special player if you ask me.

Easy win. Most interesting aspect was that Zaheer and Yadav got wickets, while the English quicks looked terrible. Anyone know how the pitch in Mumbai is? Wish I was home to go..

Mumbai usually has a good wicket that keeps everyone - the batters, pacers and spinners - interested. It would be England's best chance to get something out of this series. It should be an excellent test match.

Trashed them. The most pleasing thing was that our pace bowlers were very good. Pujara looks like a class act.

India too good in the end - That shambolic 1st innings from England meant, there was only ever going to be one winner here.

Both sides suffered from some poor umpiring, but England really screwed themselves over in the field. Indian innings there were at least 3 definite chances missed, and all 3 batsmen made them pay the price.

Positives for India - real team effort, all the bowlers chipped in, and obviously that huge score was a result of good contributions from a number of batsmen.

England - Cook, Cook and Cook - seriously, Swann did pretty well, and Prior showed some fight. But the rest...Particularly Ian Bell WTF

The key to defeating England is to defeat Cook.

Good win from india, but should have been easier for them.

Sultan, keep your apology ready, just incase if it's a draw. :p

Result was never in doubt. Just a couple of good balls and all Cook and Prior's good work was going to be undone.

Test matches are about patience.

Its a shame how shit teams are away from home nowadays. Makes for poor viewing. England really need to bat first to stand a chance in any of the tests.

Most teams are generally shit away from home. Good teams put up some good performances away, but only great teams do it consistently.

I actually think this test series will be fairly close.

It's all about selection with England, and Finn could make a significant difference.

I expect India to win it, probably by a two test margin, but i'd be surprised if we got trounced in any of the remainders.
