India tour to Australia

The odd ball is keeping low now  This will probably end today
Indeed. We're 250 behind and already two down because our openers are world-class. Australia basically need to dismiss Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, and Vihari. The rest can't bat.

EDIT: Saw some stat that in the last few years India has never chased 200+ in the fourth innings (some 8 tests if I remember correctly).

With the pitch playing the way it is, it wouldn't matter if we had 11 Kohlis..

It's unplayable.. The only way we win if Aus have money on them losing and decide to throw it away.

This pitch is amazing

Think 150 would be ungettable here, right now

This Lady commentator is just annoying right now. Every second sentence for the last ten minutes has been along the lines of should they just stop batting now, its dangerous and they risk one of the bowlers getting injured...

So ... whats the best way to go about it? Cant defend here. Just go for the quick runs?

She has a point. On such pitches bowlers could easily do a bodyline attack and just try to take the opposition's bowlers out of the equation rather than trying to get wickets.

Umesh Yadav doesnt look like a smart selection.. It wasnt a great decision before the match started.. It looks terrible now.

I guess send Pant to open and tell him to attack from ball one? Don't worry about defending as any ball could send you to the hospital or the pavillion, if your are lucky.
I'd open with Pant and Rahane. The latter is especially good against pace.

How do we find a way to let their tail score... every fecking time ?

Yeah, but if I had to promote someone I'd promote the free wicket people. Even Lyon will be deadly on this pitch with uneven bounce. It's literally a Jadeja's paradise right now.
Exactly:mad:

The last 15 mins have put this game beyond doubt imo.

So 287 runs to win.

Going to be very, very difficult but you never know.

On this pitch, I think it's quite obvious. We could have prime Sehwag, Sachin, Dravid and Laxman in the lineup along with Kohli, and we still wouldn't win. The pitch has gone bonkers. No two balls in those cracks will behave the same.

4 'specialist' quickies and not one could wrap up the tail.

India's struggles against the tail cost them the series in England.

Might be the same here.

Openers have lost us the match. Not the lack of spinners.

Like bloody clockwork  Hope that's the last we see of Rahul in an India test team.

Rahul you Insta loving, ad churning worthless excuse for a cricketer.

2 runs in 2 innings. Stay at home for a few years and learn to play cricket first, boy.

Not in this particular test imo. We weren't chasing anything more than about 175.

Yeah agreed our openers have cost the match.

Partnership of 2 in the first innings and nil in the second innings.

Well that's an excellent ball.

That's great by Tim Paine
