India Tour of South Africa

Will Kohli get sacked if these away tours are a disaster like last time?

Stump mic helps a lot. Nigel Llong always seems to hear these things when I watch. There were times when he gave batsmen out for nicking off to the keeper but batsmen reviewed the decision as they themselves didn't realize they played the ball. Even fairly thin nicks can be heard by their ear pieces as long as there isn't raucous audience roaring around.

Will Kohli get sacked if these away tours are a disaster like last time?
India's last two test captains weren't sacked I think? Both Kumble and Dhoni retired from tests as captains.

Well done to Ngidi on getting his first test wicket. Was very close to getting Kohli out but he'll be happy enough with Patel being his first test wicket

India 183/5 at stumps still trailing South Africa by 152. Kohli needs to turn a potential century into a big century.

I think a win is no longer possible. Needed a big score. Think we'll get around 280-300 but they'll set us around 250 and we'll falter.

That run out of Pandya was unforgivable. Good throw to get a direct hit but slide your fecking bat!

Well. It's Kohli vs the Saffers right now.

Ashwin again played well but only to get out at the wrong time. If he was around we could have scored close to 400. Not picking bhuvi looks baffling even more now.

Anyways hats off to kohli, shows his class again. Let us touch the 300 mark and try to be as close as possible to SA's 335

Wide first slip must be amongst the top 5 worst ideas in cricket. Also Parthiv is not a good enough wicketkeeper

Bad light has stopped plat with South Africa 90/2 off 29 overs. De Villiers and Elgar are not out on 50 and 36 respectively.

Kohli is not a happy chappy about the fact that play has been stopped.

What was Kohli so angry about? The light was not good. Feck are they supposed to do?

That's a shocking stat for us.
Don't think any Indian batsman has a decent record in SA except Sachin. Kohli's scored two centuries and a 96 so far - so he's already done better than most in only 4 tests. Another stat: he's never been dismissed below 150 during his last 10 centuries - 6 double centuries, 167, 153 and a couple of centuries where he declared immediately after reaching the mark. Also converted 7 of his last 8 50+ scores to centuries - only time he missed out was when he declared a few mins after getting out for 50.

Kohli is not a happy chappy about the fact that play has been stopped.
Can't argue with light meter - it's standard for every team. He's probably irritated that rain interruption meant lack of reverse swing (lush outfield so ball won't get scuffed) and Ashwin can't bowl with a wet ball. And a dummy who can't keep. Taking all his frustration out on bad light.

I think that's the worst five ball innings I've ever seen.

Dont worry they will find a way to bottle it. AGAIN.

Not able to chase 287 in 4th Innings isn't bottling ffs. If we manage to do it, then it's our best away win ever.

Wasnt that the game when Adam Bacher took a spectacular catch to get rid of Sachin?
It was! Sachin has 5 centuries from 5 series in SA, no other Indian player scored more than one until Kohli scored his 2nd yesterday.

Not able to chase 287 in 4th Innings isn't bottling ffs. If we manage to do it, then it's our best away win ever.
Especially considering India only won 2 tests in SA ever.
