But when the real reasons and scams behind the moves started to unfold, i had to change my view.
What the feck. Its good that i did it a couple of weeks back.. I was planning to deposit it in the last couple of weeks to avoid the lines.
They have gone crazy.
Do enlighten us all?
Biggest scam in the world lol. How stupid one must be to utter such things.
'You can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep'.
The act of 'looting' the entire nation of 1.3 billion population (well, not all of them for sure) and making their life extremely miserable, surely is a top contender for the biggest scam in the world.
My folks had the same dilemma. They kept on waiting for the queues to disappear, and when it seemed that it won't, they went and deposited the amount. Of course they have valid reasons and justifications, but it seems trusting this govt isn't such a wise thing to do anymore. What the feck. Its good that i did it a couple of weeks back.. I don't see TMH and Entropy in this thread these days.Even most of the Bhakts have stopped trying to justify the move
The bolded part, I wonder the exact same about you.
For rest of the part of post, even more lolz.
I have solid proofs and facts to validate my claims. What do you have in support of your master, except your 'lolz'? What proof do you have to claim that demonetisation move is a success and is in the best interest of the nation? What proof do you have to reject the claims that the actual goal of demonetisation was to help your master's corporate friends and also to give financial advantage for his party over the opponent's in the coming elections?
What are you doing with the "solid proof" on a football forum? Give it to Rahul Gandhi, we need another earth quake in Indian Politics.
I will give it Kejriwal, tbh. He has ruffled more feathers than RG did. What are you doing with the "solid proof" on a football forum? Give it to Rahul Gandhi, we need another earth quake in Indian Politics.
Please go to court with your 'solid proofs' and bring down the government. Your expert investigation is getting wasted on a football forum where you are obsessed about one political thread. The 'proof' of impact on economy doesn't come out in a month of a move but if you had that much ability to understand we would not be having this discussion...I have solid proofs and facts to validate my claims. The poor thing wasn't able to post a single post outside this thread for more than a month. I feel for him. I hope he has given final touches to the solid proof and we will be having a case launched any day now. Ah, too bad. I was getting ready for Rahul or Kejri as PM and the resulting fun thereafterGo to court? me? against the government and most importantly the man himself? Good luck with that

Well I am very skeptical of your claims but have an open mind to be convinced otherwise. You don't have to write it again, just send the link to your old post. Its impossible to search in this thread. It's been mentioned and discussed in this tread itself on multiple times. Now i really don't have time to write an essay on that again. However, if you can't find the previous posts discussing about the same and if you are genuine and is ready to look into the whole episode with an open mind; i will try to re-post it as per my free time.
I haven't seen a ₹500 note till now even though it reportedly came into circulation weeks ago.
The new 500 note introduced on Nov 13. It's already 40 days, not just one week.
@berbatrick Hopefully UP will follow.
Civic polls and State elections won't necessarily follow same voting patterns and add to that the obvious thing that civic polls were in different states to where states elections are scheduled in 2017. One thing which can be possibly deduced from civic polls in 3 states though is that demonetization troubles is not going to be factor against BJP. If it becomes a factor for BJP in bigger elections in 2017 needs to be seen. Punjab and UP have other big factors for voters to consider and to vote on.
UP will probably be hung assembly. BJP has to gain on 2012 showing and they will but not sure if they will make a big enough leap to form government on own. Punjab is lot less likely to be retained but there SAD drives the election agenda for coalition and BJP is minor player. In Punjab, SAD-BJP can only hope for vote split in AAP and Cong which gives them outside chance.
It will also come down to how much of factor it is made out closer to election both by BJP and others. Both would do well to not stretch it too much. Akhilesh for example is most favoured CM face in UP. It should be advisable for SP to make gains from that than just go on criticizing demonetization and sideline own strong points. If not, it can backfire if they just go on about inconvenience of demonetization. BJP should also just use it as example of steps of central govt against corruption/black money. In state elections, local/specific issues matter more so parties got to focus on that than generic factors.I am not sure that the positive results for BJP in polls in Nov/Dec after demonitisation are applicable to assembly results next year. A lot of the initial reports, and also recent ones, have suggested that 50 days/31 Dec is the unofficial deadline in many peoples' minds to decide if they are "ok" with the inconvenience or not.
NDTV went to great lengths to project Congress as a great party who had fantastic 10 years, closer to 2014 general election. Biased to the core. They won't stop that.If NDTV can stop portraying Rahul Gandhi as a great leader who connects with the masses, that'd be great!

Did they? Is that even possible? If NDTV can stop portraying Rahul Gandhi as a great leader who connects with the masses, that'd be great!
I would say decent move. 86% was a huge share of notes. With only estimated 7% cash in black money, making them all go in one shot was a pretty high risk idea.Let's just face it, it was a great move in idea, but implemented horribly. I don't know if it could have been implemented any better though.
I wanted to draw parallel to the caste based reservation. Don't we always have someone piping up saying how the reservation laws should be amended to a system based on wealth and area of residence? Shouldn't the same kind of thought applied to demonetization with rural people getting a better deal in phasing out the cash based economy? I was only reminded because some of the most vocal supporters of demonetization in the name of nationalism vociferously decry reservation based caste.

Horror implementation made it almost a useless idea though. Almost entire money is making back to the system.
