If ten Hag was sacked tonight, who would you have as an interim?

Keane wouldn't be able to do the press. He'd be a great enforcer in the changing room and on the training pitch though.

Can you imagine? I reckon him and Casemiro would be trading blows within 30 mins.
Case is a pussy, another sulker it would be a massacre haha

Ole hasn't won even a final during his entire time with us.
That wasn’t the question though was it? The question was who can get one over on pep and since ole did it more than anyone for us I mentioned he should be the one.

I’m worried that we win the FA cup and it keeps this bellend in charge
Don’t have to worry about that. LVG won that trophy and got sacked. Same thing will happen if the owners have any ambition. They’ve been watching us for months now and know that this team isn’t going in the right direction.

Are we blaming the manager for almost losing a game from 3-0 up after 71 minutes ?

At some point we are going to have to accept most of this squad have never really been that good for United to succeed.
Are you not? Any decent manager would have got there ideas into there players by now. Any decent manager would be able to beat Coventry fairly easy, even Mourinho who is one of the most defensive managers would have beat these pretty easy and would have made us hard to play against. The same things happening over and over and over again. It’s not like it’s just a one of… this team doesn’t have a clue how to control a game and that has to do with poor coaching.

Caf when we score first against City

We're not beating City in a cup final with this squad and this manager unless we shithouse two red cards out of them early on. Even one man down they'd boss the match.

Yeah, he would. Won nothing, think hed bottle the final.
When he first came in he was winning every single game, including games against Chelsea, Arsenal. He’s constantly beaten pep and city, even did the double over them in the league. You don’t have to of won a trophy to know how to beat a manager.

This team doesn't have the individual ability of Pogba, Martial, and Rashford in 18/19 with some experienced heads for Ole to come in and improve them just by walking in.

The current squad needs a structure and a plan, Ole would be the same as when Chelsea hired Lampard again.
Rashford is still here. Garnacho probably has a higher ceiling than martial. This squad is not lacking in individual ability. It is lacking someone putting together a tactical plan suitable for their abilities.

Flawed logic, sorry.
Well it's not, because the man chronically choked in finals over 3.5 seasons. Our longest trophy drought in PL history was under his watch. There's nothing flawed about that.

Jose Mourinho.

The man is already 61 years old. He doesn't have much of a club management career left anymore, but he still is one of the very few out there who know how to make it very frustrating to any Guardiola team. Considering that he was one of the very first people to credibly call the Glazers' shenanigans out for what they are, I would love it if INEOS get him as the interim so he can find a way to win the cup and then have the final laugh at the Glazers as he goes away.

There will be time to look for a new manager in the summer. What we need is to keep our odds at winning the cup more alive than they are now.

It's called a new manager bounce. He's not the only manager to be capable of it, moreover he had a piss easy run of fixtures to walk into, and a much healthier squad.

Maybe we could request SAF to lead us a final time in FA Cup final at Wembley? He can't do worse than ETH anyway.

And it will be a new manager bounce again… this squad needs to get happy. An happy squad is a winning one and there’s no better person than to make a squad enjoy playing football again… he got the best out of Rashford, Shaw and even Martial. And he got the longest unbeaten away run… that takes a lot of doing. No game is easy in the prem.

Why are people turning their nose up on Tuchel? He's about a million times better than Ten Hag, Southgate or Potter and we're not getting Alonso or Nagelsmann. If it goes tits up, we start again. It's not rocket science.

I've been behind every appointment so far other than Moyes so I've given up having a proper opinion on who I'd like next as there are so many defining factors involved. ETH seemed the perfect fit at the time but looking at it now I see it differently.

He was managed the top team in a league where only three teams generally win the title. He also inherited a really strong team of youth players all brought up with the Ajax system installed into them. So basically he had 90% of the job done for him before he took over. Why didn't I see this before, because I was blinkered into believing he was the next big thing.

Maybe we should be looking at a young manager in the Premier league already.

If Bayern were out of the CL, Tuchel would be possible but at this point, I'd be happy to hear he's not staying beyond the summer.

Great so you accept a new manager bounce is very achievable and not limited to Ole.
Now, I'd like any interim coach of being capable to win cups and not choke.

I agree with you.

Like I don’t understand the obsession with De Zerbi. Seems he can lose 5 games in a row, each by 3 goals, and he’ll still have a cult of droolers behind him. Tuchel could win the CL and those same people will turn their nose up

I appreciate when someone like you says something I’d expect a normal sane person to say

I must admit I am surprised by how unanimous the caf is against Tuchel. When you look at his success at Chelsea - considering how poor they've been since he left and they were also pretty bad under Lampard before he arrived. My main reservation with him is that he seems to be too combative for these soft bunch of players.

What do we class as an interim coach? Can it just be anyone to come in for a short amount of time… someone like Mourinho/Conte? Can they be interims or is it someone who’s not a big name? It’s very rare interims come into teams where that team as a chance of winning a trophy so how do you know if someone’s capable of it? Normally interims come in to steady the ship until the end of the season and try and finish the season strongly.

Maybe we just don’t want another toxic manager… everyone that’s wanting Tuchel will be the same people moaning for him to be sacked when he’s causing arguments with players/owners.

Weirdly this squad is arguably more suited to Jose than the one he was left with in his final season
