If Real puts Kaka on sale, should we be interested?

The open better example of muppetry than this thread is this post right here.

Kaka is leagues ahead of any of our midfielders in their current state, complete different class of player entirely. Would absolutely love to have someone as good as him in our midfield. Can't believe some people would rather have Benzema, who has proven nothing on the world stage aside from scoring a lot (but not that much) in France and once against us over a player like Kaka who has proven his skills over and over at highest level.

My old newbie nemesis Myxomatosis, I see we still don't see eye to eye, and we probably never will.

Benzema at least is still young and promising - with a impressive talent and skill set, he can improve, and adapt to the Premier League. Very few young forwards has his talents, as well as we need someone up front with his talents.

Kaka' is over the top, there was a time, where you could compare him with anyone. When the scandal in the Serie A happened, and AC Milan was hit by problems you need your big names to step up. Did Kaka' did that? No, he has descended ever since that, and never been able to step up, then he goes at a £56m move to Real Madrid and so far he has fecked up there as well, he has been one of their worst players this season. When he has not been able to step up anywhere, why should he make it for us? And that is the problem - when you go to the Premier League, you have to step up, because the level of the average game is higher than anywhere else. And lets not forget, if Real Madrid are dropping him, they will demand shit loads of money for him. lets say they are willing to loose £15m, he will still be valued at £41m and crush our current transfer record, and he is not worth close to that. If Kaka' is leaving Real Madrid this summer, he will probably join City or go back to Milan but nobody should be willing to spend £40m at that crap. I could go on writing crap about Kaka' for eternities, pitty he did not join Citeh for £100m last January.

Benzema has yet to peak, Kaka' is over the top years ago. Kaka has not proven shit the past 4 years. Benzema was amazing in Lyon, becoming the best player in the French league in a very young age. Both has performed strong in the national teams but that is not really worth much...

Kaka = overrated has been whom only has the name left.
Benzema = potential great signing.

It's been a very tough year for Ricky, ever since the Lyon game he's battled away with this niggling groin injury, which of course you always feel when you play and the best thing to do is rest. His time out has lead to unfair criticsm with people suggesting he is saving himself for the World Cup.

He came back today from the bench and won Madrid the game with a cool finish across the keeper, imagine if it's the goal that decides the league.

You could tell how much this meant to him and his team mates from the celebration.

I haven't been following Real at all this year. How is Kaka doing? Doesn't Ozil play in his position? Does he still have it? I would looove him at United. Berbatov, Rooney and Kaka on the pitch at the same time would be magic.

He's only just started playing again after knee surgery. He's played about 90 minutes so far - scored a goal off a cross from his best mate at Madrid (no, really he is) Ronaldo.

Madrid are still desperate to see him succeed. I don't think they're in a hurry to sell him.

Incidentally Kaka is still a big deal, global marketing wise, for Real Madrid - I can't imagine him going cheap just yet.

Can Real play with Kaka and Ozil at the same time?

Seems like he will be a really expensive bench option.

If Kaka becomes availible there will be only one team that will sign him and that is Citeh and they will gazzump everyone in a show of power paying a good £40m+ to show what a massive team they are.

Meanwhile, we'll play a 36 year old Scholes alongside "60 minute wonder" Anderson and the "woeful" Carrick who only passes sideways and still win the League.

Not in my lifetime! /mr muppet

What if he just doesn't want to play for City? He's already turned them down before (even if they offered him much more money).

Kaka would be a huge risk, given his age and injury record. I'd take him on loan with the option to buy if that was ever on the table to see if he could make it at United and have the price locked in before he does, as it is now, he hasnt played his best football in a few years.

I'd take a gamble on him for anything under 25M.

Luckily for you guys, I'm not SAF ;)

Weird you say that. I've always considered you as a more viable option thsn SAF. When we were 4-0 down at West Ham, I turned to my mate in the pub and said, 'Why the feck did we not employ Raisa840546 off the internet when we had a chance. This is shit!'

I agree but the price he'd come at, especially considering his age wouldn't be worth it. Even if we did have City's money.

If it means us winning for another 3-4 years then it'll be a good buy even if it comes at exorbitant prices.

More than enough time to bring up the younger players and nest on the potential replacements

Im not usually in favour of this type of signing, and frankly I have never rated Kaka quite as highly as a lot do (not saying he isnt/wasnt a great player mind).

But this could be quite handy as a short term stopgap ala Owen. We really lack an attacking midfielder/second striker and Kaka fits the bill. If we could pick him up on the cheap, he would provide some great attacking flair and creativity from the middle which we have lacked, but because of his age etc it would only be for a couple of years, by which time our midfield will have taken on a different shape I expect.

He's exactly what we need, but his injury record, price and wages aren't likely to help his cause for getting here, who knows.

Kaka's sale from Real is gathering steam. Bar major injury to a player Jose like, it appears Kaka will be sold this summer. Do we need him? Should we wait for our youth and see what they might have?
I must confess that I love Kaka's style of play, to me he is as intelligent as Scholes.

The word 'on' in the thread title makes me think of him with a 'reduced' stick on his forehead.

Id' take him as Scholes' replacement happily. Our youngsters would learn so much from him. I see him Inter bound though. Possibly to even replace Sneijder.

Chelsea bound, inevitable m'afraid.

He'd be perfect for us though imo. His form is rather poor yes, but we can't hold that against him considering he plays for Real Madrid.

Fairly sure he'd be amazing here. Plus he'd sell a shit-load of shirts so the Glaziers might be more willing to open their mausoleum..I mean err wallet and spend some money.

If the price is right both in terms of transfer fee and wages, which they won't be so let Chelsea or City overpay.

id prefer sneijder, think he would fit in with our team framework better

We missed a trick with not getting Sneijder (and arguably VDV) from Madrid in the Ronaldo deal.

Saying that, Kaka's peak game for me is superior to Sneijder's - however we haven't seen Kaka's best form for a long time now sadly.

Kaka is probably more feasible than Wesley however.
