If Real puts Kaka on sale, should we be interested?

Not this again.

who was it this time?

Will always have love for Ricardo. Did I tell you guys that I used to play youth tennis with him? Then this guy decided to try that football thing. I wonder if it worked out for him and all.

Come on sign him up Fergie, call Jose, do something FFS. Most Brazilians at his age become lazy from training. In his case he is doing everything he can, but the team not set up to his style. We can use him.

 Lucky bastard. Were you mates or just played him in youth tournaments? How good of a tennis player was he?

Kaka is sound as feck; obviously he is trying hard, putting his head down, training twice a day. Sure he's lost a yard or two but so has our roly-poly scouser. I wish we were really in for him.

His wages may be prohibitive. And Real may be offering him, with the stipulation that we pay his full wage. I am referring to the loan offer.

I was a Philippoussis type of player, just throwing scuds here and there, so at that age, I was beating everybody around my age. Never played competitively against him, he wanted to improve his return game against my serves so I was his sparing partner for a while. Kaka has not been skillful at anything, it is just that he is so intelligent. If you watch him closely, he does not have any skill that will beat you one on one, but it his quick thinking in a team concept that makes him excel.
It is really sad that he feels like a burden on Real. It was not his desire to go there, that fool of a PM put him in this situation. Now look at what he is having to put himself through just to win favor to be among the players who can be possible selected to sit on the bench.

amazing story.

When will his contract ends? Just enjoy the shitload of wage and off back to Sao Paolo ala Shavchenko.

Why would you want Kaka at United ? The guy is finished, he doesn't have the same acceleration a big part of his game was based on.
He's so past it that it makes no sense to want him at United

It's not only the speed but it's his agility that has gone. Kaka had great acceleration when he came to Madrid but simply wasn't the same player anymore because agility is something that is near impossible to gain back after a certain point.

In most cases it is the agility that a player loses first, straight line speed remains for a few years thereafter. Hence the reason Torres despite being fast is not quite the same playe, ditto with kaka.

People talk about technique but a players physical abilities are just as important in football and this doesn't solely mean strength.

The same reason why I'd want Del Piero at united even now. Certain players I really want to see in our colours.

We all said that about Giggs if you remember. Some players simply need a bit of guidance as they get older. I still think he can be a useful player for any team as long as he's given games. He's only 30! He only played 1378mins last season for Real and managed 5 goals and 10 assists!

If he's so miserable , he should just ask to terminate his contract with Real. He's easily get 100k wages at other clubs if he's available on free. If Mourinho has decided not to play him, i dont see why they wouldnt agree to take a hit on the transfer fee if they dont have his wages to pay.

If he sits out his contract for the next 3 years he'll end up costing Real an incredible amount of money.

I'm not too familiar with the details, but if he's on E10m/year net, that comes to 20 million per year under the new tax system. 3 more years left on his contract, so, with this year, that's 4x20 million, plus 2x10 million approx. for his first two years, plus 65 million transfer fee to Milan. Total: 80 + 20 + 65 = 165 million euros! for a player who's hardly contributed.

It makes the 35 million quid Hargreaves cost us seem like small potatoes!

Exactly, so it will benefit both parties if he leaves. So, if he talks about being so desperate to play and not be a burden etc, why not simply ask for a contract termination. Suits both parties. He's easily good enough to play for most teams in the world.

The new laws don't effect existing contracts iirc but even so, they're still going to be spending around 30m on wages for a player who might not play much. Mind you, I can see someone like Anzi or PSG going in for him. I don't expect him to see out his contract at Madrid and be prepared to fight for a place on the bench.

Giggs has managed to alter his game since he's lost his legs and pace in general.I haven't seen anything remotely close from Kaka

You can trace his decline to even earlier than that. His last season at Milan wasn't great and in his pomp he averaged 50 games a season, a rate he got nowhere near after 2007.

I know that's why I said even when he arrived his agility wasn't the same.

Milan know how to rob clubs, sold him off at the perfect time.

Just sell him to a Russian/Turkish club now and be done with it.

A normal loan isn't possible. If he leaves for a year but then returns to Madrid, he'll end up costing them more for the final two years of his contract than for the current three - due to them losing the low tax status on his contract.

So, it's either a sale - and no one who Kaka wants to play for, wants him. Or a loan in which he takes a massive payback not just while with the loan club, but he´d need to agree to a pay cut on his return to Madrid as well.
