If Real puts Kaka on sale, should we be interested?

That is so far from the truth. It just hasn't happened for the lad at Real. Write Kaka off at your peril. Still one of the best players on the planet. If he came available for the right price you'd snap him up quicker than a diarrhea fart runs down your leg.

I take it you have vast experience in this uh, experience?

How is this a debate and how are people saying no :wenger: He's maybe not as amazingly awesome as he was 3 years ago but he's still fecking good and would thrive in our team imo.

Just as he's thriving at Real is it ? His finer days are behind him and his price tag isn't even remotely congruent with his value.

We don't know what the price tag would be as he's not actually up for sale.

No. He is overrated. There are only three players at Real Madrid I would like to see in a red shirt, and that is Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema.

The open better example of muppetry than this thread is this post right here.

Kaka is leagues ahead of any of our midfielders in their current state, complete different class of player entirely. Would absolutely love to have someone as good as him in our midfield. Can't believe some people would rather have Benzema, who has proven nothing on the world stage aside from scoring a lot (but not that much) in France and once against us over a player like Kaka who has proven his skills over and over at highest level.

But we know what it's been over the past year - £100m plus and 66m.

You could buy far more than one player in decline for that much.

He is but I can't remember the last time he showed it consistently

He's living off the reputation he created a few years ago, but that won't prevent some of his fanboys from dreaming in this thread.

Well at international level at least he is very consistant. For Real he's not been anything like as good as Ronaldo but he's certainly been nothing like the failure Benzema has been. At Milan he was playing in a rapidly declining side and I know you play someone like Kaka to turn around a declining side, which I guess he wasn't fully able to do. But I still think his ability in there for all to see and he's in that special class of player.

Were he to come to United we'd play him off Rooney and build our side around him only instead of old legs and lazy gits like Ronaldinho we'd have the energy of Fletcher, Valencia and Rooney around him supplying him and making runs off him. Personally I think he would be the perfect player for us. Really I couldn't imagine someone who would be a better fit except maybe Gourcuff, but he has a long way to go to reach Kaka's level.

It's true, I've seen him play live for Brazil and he's at the center of all their counter attacks, but also Robinho is amazing for them. And guess what, Felipo Melo is a destroyer for them, so I mean, International Football is not something we can really use to judge, I generally maintain that or Crouch should be one of the best strikers in the World.

I used to maintain that Kaka was playing for a declining team in the height of my fanboi defences but seeing how he's performed in Madrid where everything should be suited to his talents, I don't really have much of an excuse these days although his genius has been shown occasionally.

It all depends on the proce but if we can get him here he'd be back to being 1 of the start players again, not 1 of many like at Real. Plus what we're really missing is that bit of magic in midfield. If he was available i think we should and would go for him in a heart beat. For the right price of course.

He's one of their galactico crown jewels and will remain at Real until he's in his 30s, at which point it's back to Brazil. He will never be a United player and given his overinflated price I'd say both sides are better off where they are. But don't let that prevent you from dreaming. :smirk:

No, he's the most overrated twat in the history of the world ever.

Even the idiots at Madrid will be able to work out that if a Galactico comes in and doesnt settle down, doesnt become a vital member of the team and they have the chance to recoup some of the fee they paid and put it towards signing a new Galactico, that can settle and become a vital member of the team. They'd be much better off that way.

So it could be that Kaka does become available, so that they can get Ribery or someone else in as a new galactico.

Highly unlikely given they just squandered 100m on Kaka and Benzema when they could've retained Sneijder and Robben.

Where's this idea even coming from?

I can't see Madrid selling him, but if they did it would probably be for a gazillion pounds to shitty.

Signings from a previous regime. Not really a football decision.

Irrespective when they were bought, it was still wasteful to sell them and buy new players that aren't as good. All they had to do was buy Ronaldo and keep those two, and they would've been devastating in the CL this year - but instead it's Bayern and Inter who are having the last laugh.

Delusional spastics still trying to rationalize our CL defeat by clutching at staws.

Signings from a previous regime. The new president doesnt want them around. Can you imagine if Robben had stayed at Madrid and scored that goal he scored against us, only it was the 1 goal to take Madrid through? He'd have got all the headlines. Not Madrid's new Galacticos they spent all the money on.

So Robben and Sneijder go out. And you know, I think eventually Higuain might share the same fate eventually as long as they can get in someone who is going to score a similar amount of goals. He might last another season though.

I doubt Higuain would move. He's been arguably their best player. They'll probably splash some money for Ribery and a defender this summer. That's all.

Madrid fans (and the board) are desperate to see Kaka do well - unlike Benzema, who no one seems to give a toss about, except on a kind of pity "he's still young" vote. Unless Kaka wants out, I'd be surprised if they sell.

The only really harsh press I've seen has been very recent stuff hinting darkly at him "saving himself for the World Cup" which I don't believe - or (and this would be even more of an issue if United were potential buyers) the idea that he has decided that he can't, for reasons of pride, play unless he's 100%.

In any case, he's Ronaldo's best mate :D which means we'll either get a good scouting report or Madrid won't risk splitting them up.

Even Zizou never did it to be fair. All he did was score a great goal in an ECL Final. His first year there was largely shit. Then he became a key component of their machine form then on.

Didn't he also do his thing against Barca in the semis? He stepped it up at the right time, Kaka has always done his thing in these kind of games which is why I was very dissapointed. He didn't play gash but there's too much running into blind alleys and no end product, just not Ricardo.

Eh. Because Silva's more consistant? Because he's not.

Kaka is a former World Player of the Year with growing injury problems, he's acheived more or less everything it's possible to in football.

That's a dangerous investment if ever there was one.

Silva is more versatile, and yes, at the moment he is more consistant.

He isnt any more consistant. Although his form has had a slight upturn in the past few months. Both are more consistant for country than they are for club...

At this point in time Kaka (on form) would be more dangerous playing off Rooney than Silva would be (on form). The advantage of Silva would be versatility and the age difference. And he's still learning his role behind the front man. It'll probably be like Rooney and leading the line. Took a long time to start doing it really well, but when he finally got it he's as good as anyone in that role.

Real are shit...
300 million down the drain...
Would have a chance if they had Robben on one wing and Ronaldo on the other..
fecking spastics..

I think there is more chance or David Beckham dumping Posh for Susan Boyle than there is of us getting Kaka. His wages would be too high for a start and Real will give him at least 1 more year to show what he can do. And if he did become available Man City would offer him 3 times more than us. In saying that he would be f#*kin awesome if he signed. Theres too many stars at Real for him to flourish and once he sorts his injurys out he will be scary again and anyone who thinks otherwise is clueless.
