I'd take it on the terms of the OP straight swap … never happen tho
Bale of 2013 ? Absolutely.
Bale of today? Probably.
I'd love Bale in the PL although he had many setbacks with injuries. But if he can get through them, I think we could win the Premier league next year.
But for sure, this swap is not going to happen.
Come on now??
Hell yes!
On his day, Bale is a game changer, a match winner. One of the elite players in world football.
A straight swap would never happen, but on the basis that it did it would be criminal if we didn't go for it.
Lets not kid ourselves here. We are comparing the 2nd best keeper in the entire world with someone who isnt even in the top 10 or 15 list.No question, De Gea is amazing but Romero would not be that much worse of an option.... Bale on the other hand wins us all of those drawn games from last season, and with them th title
I think its the other way round.Things to consider - despite both being world class in their respective positions, it's far easier to find a winger of less quality than Bale who would still immediately improve our current options out wide. If we lost De Gea and failed to replace him with one of Neuer, Buffon or Courtois (which we wouldn't) then despite who we end up with we'd have downgraded and weakened our squad significantly.
Also, Bale's injury record over the last 15 months can't be ignored, especially if he was to return a more physically gruelling league.
Bale will return to Spurs if he ever comes back to the Prem.
I don't think so, mate. You can't afford his wages.
Yeah, maybe in 5 years if PL tv money continue to increaseYou might be surprised
What?!
On his day, De Gea is game changer, a match winner. One of the elite players in football.
He has far, far more "on his day" days during a season that Bale.
A straight swap would be madness.
Bale will return to Spurs if he ever comes back to the Prem.
I know you're a pretty deluded guy, but that's your strangest one yet.
Not really, we have first refusal as part of the original sale deal.

If PL TV money continue to increase, the other clubs will still be able to afford higher wages.Yeah, maybe in 5 years if PL tv money continue to increase
