ICC T20 World Cup 2022

That DK dismissal looked pretty sus.

As someone who wants DK to be dropped, I don’t mind it but still.

Im surprised they appealed that and looked at that. It looked on first view that it clearly bounced.

Bangladesh have started well. India need wickets if / when the rain stops

I don't think India deserve anything from this WC anyways. So far minus Kohli's knock against Pak and Arshdeep good spell here and there this has been a shit WC for them. The fact they are so afraid of changing things up in between of the tournament and dropping undeserving players is an indication that this management is shit.

Really good throw there.
But insane run out by Bangladesh.

Got to feel a bit for Bangladesh here - being ahead on D/L of it continued to rain then receiving a far tougher target off remaining overs. Hopefully an exciting finish!

I guess this is the weakness with DL method.

Bangladesh have an easier chase now than they do when they started needing 180. DL reduction always favours the chasing team as you have less overs to use a full 10 wickets.

Not sure what the solution is though.

Right now little over 10 per over. Still doable but cant lose any more wickets.

They've been hard done by.
Huh? They got the exact same required run rate before and after the rain. It's gotten easier with the number of runs required actually going down.

Yeah I think you would rather want to go 9 per over for 6 overs rather than 10 overs.

Exactly. It’s always easier when the overs get reduced for the chasing team. Especially because you are still allowed to use the full 10 wickets.

I think DL method needs to introduce reduced wickets remaining as well to make it fairer.

Nah, so much of T20 relies on momentum and that break massively disrupted in India's favour. Having more overs to play with allows batting team a bum-over too, there's no space for that now.

Could the same be argued over how many overs a bowler can bowl? (This might already be the case, in which case you could have a point - although would make for less exciting finishes potentially).

It’s honestly not easier.

It’s easier to get 60 off 5 overs than it is to get 100 off 10 overs. Especially when you have 10 wickets in hand.

Indias catching has been really good. Bangladesh losing wickets here.

That’s already the case. Reduced overs mean each bowlers allowed overs gets reduced.

And another catch. The break helped India compose themselves for sure. Bangladesh have lost their way though. They lost momentum but some really bad forced shots.

It's utterly ridiculous. Let's be honest the game wouldn't have restarted had India been ahead.
Conspiracy!!!!!!!

This is poor cricket by Ban. It was their's to lose and they are just gifting wickets here.

If we are being honest the rain wouldn't have stopped if India was batting second. Disgusting.

Absolutely stupid succession of shots. Smart batting would be to push the ball along the ground and get it wet.
Yep, they just needed to keep things ticking. With the way the field is, it would zip along and be more difficult to field than just shots into the air time and time again. They had a full list of wickets as well. The run out was obviously big but again, unforced error.

30 from 2 overs would be doable if they didnt give away their wickets.

With dew around it makes it very difficult for bowlers to control the ball.

9 overs 85 runs with ten wickets to go was a dream situation for Bangladesh to be in.
