ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Why is Milne playing anyway? Makes little sense to drop a batter. Bowling wasn't their problem in the previous game.

NZ don’t trust Neesham as a 5th bowler against India. I get it. Milne also provides the express pace they don’t have now that Ferguson is gone.

 bet he regrets the drop even more now

So the Milne drop isn't too costly.

India in trouble. 40/3.

Yeah, that's going to be hard to recover from. India may be good on paper, but the batsmen look very ordinary in the first 10 overs. You don't win T20s by routinely throwing away 25% of the game even before it starts.

Give over, it’s a low scoring tournament. The crucial element is to get to at least 160 and then you’ve got a good chance. Early wickets are key

Come back when a team losing the toss wins against another top 6-7 team.

One characteristic of Indian batting is the amount of time taken to start being aggressive again after the fall of a wicket. It's simply too long. You don't have the luxury to stabilize after a wicket in this format, but here we are, letting bowlers get away with 2/3 run overs because we're too afraid to lose another wicket. Has nothing to do with ability, and everything to do with intent and leadership.

We won't qualify from the group stages

Need better management and a better captain. Our academies are littered with fearless, clean hitters, and yet we play with our tails between our legs when starting innings in limited overs cricket.

Edit: He's out, and that's our tournament. Need an inquest after this, heads need to roll. Shocking, cowardly, insipid.
