ICC T20 World Cup 2021

Even when Buttler and Roy aren't hitting boundaries they're running hard and turning singles into twos. Must be infuriating for Finch.

Buttler is amazing cricketer. Hopefully Rajasthan retain him ahead of Stokes.

Annihilation - England look so good at the moment - can't wait for the semis (will be a totally different kind of pressure though)

England virtually through.

Great result for SA, who are now neck and neck with Aus.

SL and WI just about hanging on through some unlikely qualification scenarios.

BD out.

why does one group have both Namibia and Scotland in, whilst the other's weakest team is Bangladesh, who are probably about as good as Afghanistan?

Because Bangladesh managed to lose to Scotland in the previous stage.

Afghans would kick ass in the other group, they're better than Ban and SL.

Australia really fecked up, I don't think they would have beaten England regardless given the situation but they should have gone after Livingstone and batted him out. Instead they let him go through his overs for under 4. This is someone who is barely a 6th bowler and wasn't used at all for bowling by RR in the 2nd leg of the IPL

Also there is really no point in them having Smith in the side, he doesn't score quickly enough and his whole purpose for being in the side was to save the side when they're 20-2, well he didn't do that today. He should either open or not be in the side at all.

Why is this dude retiring in the middle of the tournament with two important games to come?

Genuinely bizarre.

Afg do have a lot of internal issues with management/selection.. maybe there's something more to it.

Not a massive total tbh.

Maybe Namibia can make a chase out of it, but you'd back Afg to defend it comfortably even without Mujeeb.

Essentially a QF between India and NZ today. Although having said that, Afghanistan do have potential to spoil that party.

Given the NRR Afghanistan currently have, if they beat the winner of India v NZ, they have a strong chance of qualifying. The other two will have to batter Scotland and Namibia as well

Afghanistan would be rooting for NZ for sure, they have a much better chance against them than against India

Big toss to lose but I think we will win. Ishan at the top will make a difference hopefully.

I'd like India to have a coin toss specialist. Someone who doesn't lose them all the time.

Already an uphill battle, need an above part total just to stand a chance.

How come Asghar Afghan is retiring today? I thought Afghanistan still had games to play.

Looking forward to see Ishan at the top. Thakur will provide batting depth but not his fans as a bowler.

Apparently he/his family got a lot of abuse after the Pakistan game & this is in reaction to that.

A really strange decision as they’ve got a chance to get out of the group.

I’d back India to win, they are still the best side on paper in the tournament
I still think they lack the balance. Pandya just as a pure batsmen is a waste. Jadeja as your 5th choice bowler more often than not fails to deliver. As good as our batting looks on paper, rohit rahul kohli all are too similar of a player in t20.

With Kishan in, that top 6 is immense. Hardly a weak link

No evidence any team can beat the toss amongst the top teams.

T20 is too short to overcome a 30 run disadvantage
