Even when Buttler and Roy aren't hitting boundaries they're running hard and turning singles into twos. Must be infuriating for Finch.
Buttler is amazing cricketer. Hopefully Rajasthan retain him ahead of Stokes.
Two overseas players can be retained. I think they'll retain Archer and Buttler.

why does one group have both Namibia and Scotland in, whilst the other's weakest team is Bangladesh, who are probably about as good as Afghanistan?
Because Bangladesh managed to lose to Scotland in the previous stage.
Afghans would kick ass in the other group, they're better than Ban and SL.
Australia really fecked up, I don't think they would have beaten England regardless given the situation but they should have gone after Livingstone and batted him out. Instead they let him go through his overs for under 4. This is someone who is barely a 6th bowler and wasn't used at all for bowling by RR in the 2nd leg of the IPL
Also there is really no point in them having Smith in the side, he doesn't score quickly enough and his whole purpose for being in the side was to save the side when they're 20-2, well he didn't do that today. He should either open or not be in the side at all.

Afg do have a lot of internal issues with management/selection.. maybe there's something more to it.

Namibia aren’t getting anywhere near this target.
Essentially a QF between India and NZ today. Although having said that, Afghanistan do have potential to spoil that party.
Given the NRR Afghanistan currently have, if they beat the winner of India v NZ, they have a strong chance of qualifying. The other two will have to batter Scotland and Namibia as well

How come Asghar Afghan is retiring today? I thought Afghanistan still had games to play.

Toss is too important, should never be the case in a tournament. Having said that, must win for both teams so a bit of scoreboard pressure can help slightly.
Apparently he/his family got a lot of abuse after the Pakistan game & this is in reaction to that.

I still think they lack the balance. Pandya just as a pure batsmen is a waste. Jadeja as your 5th choice bowler more often than not fails to deliver. As good as our batting looks on paper, rohit rahul kohli all are too similar of a player in t20.
No evidence any team can beat the toss amongst the top teams.
