I did worry when they kept hyping up his experience with the Aus women's team. Not sure that's sufficient prep for international men's cricket.
He should have coached IPL at the very least.

You could just see in the last 10 overs of the South African innings that Englands heads had completely gone and they'd lost all discipline. This collapse was so obviously coming, they look like they want to go home already.
Problem is they've got another what? 4 or 5 games left? There's like another 3 weeks of England going all around India getting battered by everyone. It's grim.

Morgan always impressed you with his clarity and originality of thought. Buttler seems very wooden and mono-tonal by comparison. Can't imagine the players buy into him in the same way.
We're clearly going to break up this team after the WC and build a new one around Crawley and Brook. Won't be too long before one of them is captain (probably Crawley as they seem to be preparing him for leadership).
Couldn’t agree more. To be honest I think Root should do a Broad and just focus on test cricket now, maybe Bairstow too. They haven’t impressed me atall in ODI or T20. Now we’re basically fecked this tournament I’d like to see Ahmed get some games. His turn will be more useful on these Indian wickets than the likes of Wood + Woakes etc

Some baffling decisions by several captains. Saffers have spanked teams batting first, got schooled the one time they had to chase. England failed to chase down a par score in the previous match. Why not make the simple decision instead of overthinking it?
